Slightly 'leftfield' I know, but
Dunno if any of you lads have old skateboards tucked away but I'm
after either the above.
The Snakes particularly the 1st gen Green 65mm.

lol, you should of said something! I just gave away my Tony Alva board, my Logan Earth Ski and a nice Santa Cruise board....thirty-some years ago!
I liked the tracker Trucks and dark red Sims wheels, but my favorite was a brand called 'Bones'? When I was in the Navy (late 70's) I was stationed north of Pensacola, FL there was a nice skate park there as well as several closed down hotels with skate-able pools!

Mark
Ignore the haircuts and awful music it's quite entertaining.
I've managed to get a Fibreflex Bowl rider, some Tracker Mids and a set of
red 70mm Krpytonics (which they've just started to re make incidentally)
but my actual rig in 1977 was G+S Kick-tail, tracker mids + green snakes
and I'm trying to re acquire it.

You do realize the pain level in 2013 is going to much worse than it was in 1977 right?

Say's the man who still rides a motorbike
Sadly you are right Ron (don't ask) but it's a lot of fun nipping to the shops etc.
Annnnnd guess what? All the good modern gear comes from the States and it's half
the price of what we get it for.

Re: Sims Snake, G+S fibreflex deck kicktail model
I had a Nash when I was young. Didn't get much use as I couldn't do tricks (didn't really try much at it either), and as transportation a bike was more accepted and much faster.
My nieces wore it out a several years ago according to my brother.

Yeah but the pain keeps you young, this is me at 38 years old.Cribbs74 wrote:You do realize the pain level in 2013 is going to much worse than it was in 1977 right?
Unfortunately I got rid of all my skate stuff about three years ago and don't want to spend the money to get new gear.

A snow-sled buddy of mine likes long-boarding in the warm season... He's in his 60's, is an avid mountain-hiker and has recently got back into short-boarding. He sent me a photo of park near to him.

I hate to say it, but if you look at a early video of skateboarding from the early sixties and compare it to the late 70's is like comparing that to today, each generation the skills and technology seems to grow exponentially....but, the older I get, the better I was!
