I was hoping someone would build a high wing, didn't think it would be a jet though!

Hi guys, just thought you might like to see my effort so far. It's looking promising. Just got to determine belkrank/lead-out position. Then build it.

Cheers, Mike. Merry Christmas, and may the new year be a good flying one.  Santa Santa Santa Flying

Hmmm, for some reason that looks familiar. Laughing  That's a cool looking plane, Mike. I don't recall if you've told us about the one in your avatar, what's it called? Your prop is almost as cool as the plane.

Mmmm, now you mention it, I do seem to have a thing about it. In my head it started life  as a solid balsa Peewee powered free flight model (An Ebeneezer) about 3 years ago. It then changed to a TeeDee 051 R/C Model for my son, but he wanted it electric, I have to say in its profile speed form it stands a lot better chance of getting into the air.

probably would have taken-off like a rocket... had you lost your grip on the test-stand! I bought x3 of those props to test... and I received the digital hanging (fish) scales I ordered, to build a dyno. If I can get close to those rpm #'s.. I'll be curious about how many ounces of thrust the engine produces with that prop. I'll bet yours was pulling with some serious force! Did it get your adrenaline pumping Jim?  Shocked

Jim always builds screamers. Some of his engines are scary. lol!
Wait till he fires that one up on 35% nitro.

Mad Proposed Rules Change.

Post  JPvelo Tue Dec 31, 2013 5:55 pm

When I set maximum nitro at 30% I didn't consider the lack of commercially available 30% 1/2a fuel. How does everyone feel about bumping nitro to 35% so the readily available sig fuel can be used? Feedback please.

I bought Sig 35% so I could dilute it with my Sig 15% or 10%. I can work with whatever you decide. Flew the Tee Dee on my Li'l Satan with the 35% yesterday and it was so fast and mean I almost felt sorry for the little bugger. lol!
