Small Milestones
Members,
I glanced at my posts and realized the next one was going to hit the 5000 mark. Not sure if that is a good thing or just pathetic.
At any rate I wanted to take a moment to say a couple things about what this forum means to me. The biggest and best thing in my opinion is the camraderie I feel from all you fine folks. It's the entire group of us that make this Forum what it is and it truly is a wonderful forum. The knowledge I have gained and shared since I 've joined is overwhelming and it's good to know there is a place I can go and discuss my passion with like minded people. I love to read and post after a day of work and I really enjoy reading all the discussions. While I may only post in a few, just know I read nearly all of them. I consider you all friends and I thank you. Let's keep this thing going!
Jacob, thank you.......you started a beautiful thing.

Quad-Triple Ditto Here!!!!!
Time well spent, as this has consistently been some of the best fun I've had in this hobby since the "Old Days" when you never knew what some of your buds might come dragging out to the field on a Sunday afternoon !!!
The engines and planes and cars and such are merely vehicles for the imagination of this bunch of air-torturing fanatics, and I count myself lucky to be among your numbers!
Yes, Kudos to our Mighty Enabler, Sir Jacob !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wooopeee! Ron has a boat load of time posting..!!!
Sheesh! I thought by the title he actually did something new and unique like mastering the art of planting a cox engine 6 inches into the yard and restarting to finish the last laps of the remaining fuel inverted
Ok Ok ....that was all in jest.... I am personally glad my post count is on the low side
When I moderated on a Ford truck (and Smart car) web site I was nearing 10,000 posts a year when my wife started grumbling...being married nearly thirty years (this Aug) I got the hint...well not really a hint at all...she who must be obeyed set some strict rules that I am more than happy to comply with
Ron... I get it brother... I also read damn near every new post and thoroughly enjoy and appreciate every member taking the time to ask a question or provide some nibble of new information....
This is my first stop every morning and usually my last stop every evening
Admin...like Ron Said...thanks for the GREAT site and wealth of relevant information...you are doing a superb job as well as the hard work of all the moderators.... I truly hope my collection of Cox engines does not outlive this web site and forum

It is truly a great forum --- some forums I've seen are so contentious that they are hardly worth reading. Not so, here. Folks here are supportive, helpful, unassuming and never critical --- really a good place to hang out.
The only downside is that most of us meet and talk only via keyboards. Hopefully, Kim and I can get together next month at a C/L meet and put a handshake in place of a posting.
+1 for Ron's post.
Re: Small Milestones
Ron, along with quite a few members, are avid "posters" and make quite detailed posts with pictures and videos that make excellent reading and viewing bringing this site to life.
I will not name anyone else for fear of not naming someone who would deserve to be named.
Ron's statistics say it all
Topics
Number of topics : 328 (6.35% of total)
Topics per day : 0.51
Posts
Posts per day : 7.84
............. and so do many other members statistics! But 5000 posts is definitely a milestone.
My posts are meagre compared to a lot of members but I do know how long some take to prepare!
Some of us may never meet because we are thousands of miles apart but it is like an extended club!

Re: Small Milestones
Thanks guys,
I hope my original post didn't come off as a "look at me" kind of thing. It was more of me just wanting to say thank you for all the friendship and fun. I chose my 5000th post as it made me think and reflect a little.
I truly feel there are many folks on this forum with less posts that provided much more in the way of knowledge/help than I. Anyway thanks for all the positive comments. Here's to another 5000!
Take Care ya'll
Ron
