The Hazards of Not Being Ready !!--Or, the B.O.T. Dodges Another Bullet !!!

Sometimes, your gadgets conspire against you, and sometimes, it's just as well.

Had myself a nice, semi-stationary thunderstorm raising Cain about two miles away.  The air around the Skunk Works was dead-still, so naturally, I thought, "Time to launch the Bird of Time and it's camera for some lightning photos!!!"

But then, I couldn't find the camera box, AND had miss-placed my charging gear for the B.O.T.  About the time I'd tracked down all my stuff, got the plane charged, and headed out the door, a gust rocked the shop and sent me back-tracking to get the long-winged bird back inside to safety!

If I could have launched when I planned, I might have safely captured some video, but I was REALLY glad I didn't have the old sailplane at altitude when the gust front arrived!
