Re: Happy Memorial Day!
Happy Memorial Day --- we have the opportunity to enjoy these times because of the men and women, many of you included, have served and given to make it possible. Thank you.

Re: Happy Memorial Day!
Here we have "Remembrance Day" and a minutes silence at 11 O'clock on the 11th November - also known as "Armistice Day".
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Re: Happy Memorial Day!
If it's that what you mean, we have 2: the 11th of November, armistice of the WWI in 1918 and the 8th of May, surrender of the the Germans for the allied forces in Reims in 1945. Don't you celebrate the 2nd of september in the US? That was the real ending of WW2:
On the "MISSOURI", 5th from left General Philippe Leclerc who signed for France.

re: Memorial day
As we pause to remember Memorial Day I want to add my thanks to all those who are currently serving and to those of us who have served in the past.
