And yet another Baby Ringmaster (Maiden Report)
I decided to build one a little more faithful to the original. I didn't do a build thread as I have already done one. Maybe this one will fly better? Who knows.
I have trashed my original so bad that it was time to build another. The BRM came to me in kit form and was cut by happydad. He did a good job and it went together without issue. The leading edge is a solid piece on this one so it should be a little stronger.
Anyway, here is a picture of it almost complete.

Thanks Lew, I have some of those as well. I think I will cobble together a '70's Babe bee to adorn the nose.
Duke, I built it so well there is no need. It will fly itself!

Nice covering job on the wingtips. Ultracote, I presume. On the stab too? I've shrink-wrapped my last couple of stabs too.

Yes, Ultracote. Wing and stab. Hands down the best covering I have ever used. I have you to thank for turning me on to that stuff.

I'm trying my best to run out of Monokote. The only thing it's good for is adding trim because Windex activates the glue and you don't have to iron on the decorations, just arrange them and squeegee. It sticks over Ultracote just fine for flames, stripes, etc. You can't do that with Ultra.cribbs74 wrote:Yes, Ultracote. Wing and stab. Hands down the best covering I have ever used. That's what I did for the big Ringmaster. I ironed the red on though. I should have used Windex.

Thanks Dizzy,
It's not perfect, but good enough for me. Here is a couple finished pics. I'll fly it as soon as the weather clears up.

Hopefully, although it's hard to hold the Iphone and fly at the same time.

You might want to try a camera with a head mount like a GoPro, I love mine.
Re: And yet another Baby Ringmaster (Maiden Report)
It flew OK, not great, but not bad either. Could use a bit of rudder offset as line tension was less than optimal. That little Babe Bee actually ran inverted! There may be hope for reedies yet!
And as always here is the customary dirty birdy photo......

Me too, sure wished it pulled a little harder though. Still it's 1960's cool!

Beautiful Work Ron! The Ringmaster and Goldberg fleet continues to grow! Looks like the Spring flying season (when it gets here) will be covered pretty well this year !
With the momentum of the Ringmaster Wave, maybe we can add a boost when the Brotherhood of the Ring have their "Ringmaster Fly-a-Thon" this Fall !
