Re: Stirling engine build log
Welcome back to the world of sobriety!! Been there, done that, at about your age to. Started out early , and by the time I was legally able to drink, I was swearing off it. They tell me it was inherited....it's in the family genes, almost like ( my parents) expected me to fall off the wagon, go crazy, hit bottom and bounce back to live a clean and sober life, just like they and their parents had.
Like GG said, by the grace of God, you still have some family members that help care for you, hope the others will see your recovery and help you stay healthy. The military option has been a very productive choice for some of my high school chums and close relatives.
I also agree 110% with OldengineRod says, no mater what the parents say, the kids do exactly the opposite, unless one of their friends, ( or a Drill Sargent!) tells them. You made some mistakes ( we all do, we're human ) pick up, dust off and keep going in the right direction.
Good luck, God bless and stay healthy.

Thank you all very much for the kind words and encouragement
For me personally military work is not an option, I just got a job today, should start on Monday that should pay 2500 a month before taxes, so I should be in my feet with in a month or so (hopefully) I am currently trying to get back into school for precision machining. There are two schools that I know of that have the courses that I need but they are 90 miles away and the closest one, litterally 10 miles away only has courses that I already completed in denver

Re: Stirling engine build log
Welcome back, Mitch, it's good to have you around again. Sorry you went through all that, but it's the stuff that hopefully makes us smart in the long run, and no doubt make us better parents, friends, partners and spouses. I'm proud, even of those I don't know personally, when I hear of them taking control and coming back. Smart people(like yourself) no doubt gain a new knowledge of personal limits and a more focused sense of determination that eventually makes life better. Even better than it would have been otherwise.mitchg95 wrote:Thank you all very much for the kind words and encouragement

Don't forget to drop in and hang with us.
Have fun,
Rusty
P.S. ...and yeah, I've done it too.

Bob your fine lol
I have definetely learned a lot from what I have done, I feel I have a more realistic outlook on life and what is possible, I'm not proud of the things I have done but I'm glad I am learning from my mistakes
