Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
This is an old nylon TF 6x3. Not sure exactly what you're after. It's been around the block. With some careful sanding it would still be a good piece to make a mold from.
It has a couple small nicks so I won't put it on an engine. It's yours if you want it.

Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
well it doesn't get any better than that.
let me know what you want to send it.
i will still keep looking (hoping) for a copy of a new one.
i have 2 people that can do the mold and they are picky about what they have to start with.
another one in the works is the Rev-Up 6x3
both these props in CF or FG form leave a good bit of blade for fine tuning.
i have all the stuff for making props and have been making the cox 8" for .21 size engines.
the modl Doug Galbreath made for it was from the Cox grey.
makes a beatiful prop.

Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
I'll take a look in my prop stash. I believe most of the old Top Flite props I have were ones I got from eBay auctions and are all used.
Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
Well, I have a 6x3 but its no better than Ron's and I have a really nice 5¼x3.
Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
ok, I gotta ask? Is the reason you want a Top-Flite prop is for sentimental or nostalgia reasons? The reason I'm asking is I just don't think it's that good of prop? If you're looking to make some props, the Cox grey Comp prop or Master Air Screw would make a nice prop.

Here's one Mike.
Even swap for one of your finished product.
Send me your address.

not sentimental at all.
the TF is a great prop for several models, and again not for others............
i do agree though that the Cox grey 6x3 was an excellent prop...........all i've seen so far is the black nylon version and it didn't pitch out the same on both blades.

Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
I don't think there the same prop, the gray competition prop was common back in the 70s-80's they were pretty stiff and seemed to be the most popular prop around.
As a kid i loved the white and red Top-Flites, i thought they were pret-ty cool.

TF 6-3
I bet I have some. If you are coming by the house this weekend I should be able to fix you up.

Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
I have always been waiting for that day I will run into a mint box of old props somewhere. I regret not buying a big box of old white Tornado props from up at Hub hobby. One day they were gone, I asked where they moved them to and they said they took them off the shelf because a guy said they were old and unsafe and could fly apart. They still have them in the backroom but they refuse to sell them
Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
i found a box of mint nylon 10x6 top-flites in a bottom of a box of stuff at a r/c swap meet bout 10 years ago, keep 'em for about a year before i ebayed 'em...
inside box were a bunch of little printed notes, hand outs, from top-flite telling the customer to boil props before use and to store, wrapped in a damp rag, in a plastic bag!

Re: Want to buy 1 Top Flite 6x3
I really should go back up to Hub and see if I could talk them into selling them. It was a good sized box with the top cut off, it had to have a good 50 props in it. I believe they were 6x3s, the white nylon with black stripes on the tips.

Jacob, maybe if you just tell them you want them for display purposes and that it's worthless to them if they are just collecting dust in th back room.
Mike, seems like you have plenty of options now however, if you still want my prop shoot me your address in a PM.
