Wanted: unstamped thin wall #1 cylinder
Looking for an unstamped thin wall #1 cylinder to restore a silver cased RR1. Should have 2 transfer ports with SPI. Unmilled top fin and no number stamped on the cylinder.
Let me know what you have. Can trade for cox items.

Re: Wanted: unstamped thin wall #1 cylinder
So these will be even harder to find. I thought I had one but it was a #6 thin wall with no SPI. I will have to go through all my engines with thin walls to see what I have. This could take a while......
Thanks for the information Mud. Tim and Dan's book doesn't mention that kind of information.
Edit: This is my post 666
Now I just jinxed this quest for an unmarked #1.......

I just happin to have a spare P-40 engine that might fit the bill. Under 4x magnificaton you can see the P-40 stamp.

Re: Wanted: unstamped thin wall #1 cylinder
Joe,
I have a P40 engine here if needed thanks for the offer.
I was digging through my engines and I found an unmarked thin walled cylinder on a babe bee. I took the head off and it has 2 transfer ports. Cool I found one. I removed the cylinder and it has 4 boost ports also. Looks like I found and unmarked #4 TD cylinder with tapered bore. The cylinder is in perfect shape with no plier marks and nice dark blueing. I may use this if I cannot find an unmarked #1 cylinder. Should give the RR1 some extra performance.

Jason,
If I found a piston/cylinder set like that in my stuff, I'd
be bouncing off the walls.
Nice find.

I wish I had the knowlege and time to go through the dozens of cylinders and pistons I have. I might have some gems here.
