Re: Too Much of a Good Thing
Those KB backplates really feed the need! I noticed the difference when building a tach race engine and with the KB backplate the runtimes were 50% shorter with the same amount off fuel.

Re: Too Much of a Good Thing
I also ordered a killer bee backplate and would like to try this backplate on my cox powered rc car, fortunately it has got a 35 cc fuel tank . So running time would be around 6 minutes.
Did it better perform than a normal horseshoe backplate? I actually don't know which cylinder I use, I think it had 2 Bypass ports, slitted exhaust and no spi.
Now I know what Mr. Goddard mean when I wrote in my topic .

If you are going to use the KB backplate on a Cox car then I would also go with the heavy duty crankshaft.

I allways thougt the car - crankshaft is already heavy duty. But a look on Cox int. showed a kb crank which looks more solid than mine.
I have to re-check the crank Kyosho has in its Cox Engines, but I think they are close to the gtp cranks.
