25$ Venom on eBay
Early in the morning, I woke up half asleep and found this on eBay.
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/181014463920?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Venom + Red Arrow new for US$50, buy it now!
I don't believe new Venom will be sold for 25$!
I asked seller what Venom is it yours? is Bernies' or old Venom. He said don't know???
Anyway, I thought if I buy Venom 2 from Bernie will cost around 50-60, so why not try my luck.
It took more than 2 weeks to get this guy ship from US to Singapore. I just receive it today. Lets make it into pieces and see!!

The cylinder has booster port
The piston can not pass through cylinder. this is the furthest I can push.

Re: 25$ Venom on eBay
You can find a scan of the insert on the engine collection page, I made one yesterday and it worked well. Sure seems to be a lot of Venoms around for only 1K MADE.

You are lucky! That Texaco is worth about $50 alone!
I have also added the list to the forum, https://www.coxengineforum.com/h24-instruction-sheets
You can find it in the sidebar on the left.

Maybe a stupid question. But what makes it that it cant be pushed all the way trough the cylinder?
Is it the cylinder which is tappered, or the piston. Or both?
Re: 25$ Venom on eBay
I also have that question.
We just heard all the time that old TD, Venom, & killer bee have taper grind cylinder and piston. If tapered the cylinder can't push through the cylinder top part.
But as your question, what is tapered, cylinder or piston or both?
I think both should be tapered / smaller at the top near glow head. It doesn't make sense if piston is tapered and cylinder is not, lower portion (bigger diameter) of piston will not pass through the whole length of cylinder which is constant all the way.

Re: 25$ Venom on eBay
It is enough if the cylinder is tapered. This makes for a lower friction in the lower part of the stroke while maintaining a good seal when/where it counts. But some version seem to have a tapered piston too.
