That would be some great entertainment there. One of my favorites aside from this hobby. Ken

Nice Bass!
I am a catch and eat kinda guy so he would have went back as I don't fancy Bass. Walleye now there is some good freshwater eats. That and Crappy....
I have kind of drifted away from fishing, but for a while I was making a killing in the Gulf during my trips. Actually I was out in the water the day of the oil spill.
We were reeling in Specks hand over fist that day!
Hope you had a good time, I enjoy fishing almost as much as I enjoy eating them!

Saltwater fishing in the surf is my favorite Summer pastime. I don't get to the beach as much as I would like to. Saltwater fish are so much better to eat than freshwater fish.

Re: Possible new and novel use for spider wire.
I fried some nice thick cod filets for supper last night. Not Battered, though, just corn meal and flour breading. Hushpuppies too. I love a fish fry. Used to be a restaurant we'd go to that served grouper cheeks and grits. Hurricane Hugo took that place away.PV Pilot wrote:Nothing better than baked Mahi Mahi,,other than quick deep fried King Salmon strips,,or beer battered ling cod cheeks from Neah Bay.

If you like corn meal/flour breadings,,,you really dig this stuff Rusty. Its a Pac Northwest recipe breading, was mainly concocted for fish.

I imagine it's tough to get back east,,just as trying to get Allegro marinade to this end. Luckily we have family in Kentucky and SC.
