Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
Hello, Would it be possible for you to make up a grab bag and then tell all of us what is in it? What I mean is dump it out and name off all the things in it. It sounds really interesting but I'm just afraid of getting burnt out glow heads and other messed up un-usable parts. Thank You

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
well, I would have to say most could be used but there are many broken parts as well. Things like that scratched golden bee crankcase is usable and not broken. things like that 051 carb body that is broken but it could be reglued.

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
Well, It does sound interesting and fun. I'll have to think about it though. I don't really need any random parts around. Is there any parts to a RR-1, Venom or any older engines like the Space Bugs or Thermal Hoppers?

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
there could be some old parts in there from the rr-1 space hoppers and possibly more. I'm sure there are testors crap in there too but I havent seen too much. The newest part I have found is a scratched up (on the outside) killer bee 049 cylinder. I cant see any venom parts being in there, I had 2 venoms before and they both were never taken out of the box. Those parts in the pails are from many different places, hobby shops (ones that repair rc crap), clubs, friends, years of my own engine repair for people, swap meets (you can get alot of good stuff from those for a good price) and more!

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
I got my grab bag! You actually put that RR-1 rotor in there! I could actually use some of these parts! the best items out of there was that RR-1 rotor, early working glow head (smaller threads), 3 piece piston, back plate for a stunt tank (has no vents) and a #5 TD .051 cylinder! There was much more but those items were the common items like babe bee parts, product engine parts....

I will check in my tub of [bleep], i might have at least one. don't hold your breath, I usually worked with 020 and higher. I remember having 2 new old stock gold .010 crankcase assemblies but I also have to check if i even still have those. I'll let you know what i find... -Carl

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
Thank you so much Carl i would definatley take the crankcase assemblies if you have them also if you happen to have any pistons or cylinders for the same engine but these are not as important only if you happen to find them. Thanks for the quick reply.

well i went thru my tub of crap, my parts drawers and a few containers. I could not find any spare cranks or other extra 010 parts. i do have a box in the crawlspace that is full of more misc engine parts I will try to dig that out and take a look. I may have sold those new old stock gold crankcase assemblies at a swap meet a few years ago, I'm still not sure though. I did find a few BROKEN 010 parts but nothing you would want. it was like broken red plastic tanks and back plates. They were cracked, chipped and one looked as if the engine caught on fire and really did a number to the tank... i'll let you know if i come across some good parts

Some cox crap for sale
Thank you for that but I am no longer looking for an engine but here are the parts that would interest me if you could get them for the right price crankshaft, crankcase, drive washer, the whole needle valve assembly and maybe a piston cylinder combo but I don't really need them
Desperatly so I don't mind if he doesn't have any,
Thank you,
nitroairplane.

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
I'd really love a metal backplate or two from a Black Widow or a Golden Bee. Either one would do, just probably need to bore the intake a bit if it's a GB plate, but that's not a problem for me. I hate those plastic backs. Bee backs work, but you have to plug the nipples and I would rather have the real thing.
Here's to hoping,

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
well i would have to dig. i took my 2 buckets of misc engine parts to a swap meet last month and they sure got picked over! i lined my pockets with a good $180 just from the buckets alone. most of what is left is the broken parts and a bunch of screws. I may have some new old stock parts but again, im really cleared out. i still need to clear out a whole parts cabinet to make room so lord knows what ill find in there.

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
alright i dug thru both of my buckets and my parts cabinet. i did not have a stunt tank back plate. I did however have 1 stunt tank backplate possibly from a qrc, blackwidow BUT 3 out of the 4 lugs have been busted completely off. unless you have a way to put new lugs on it or you have some other way of mounting it, it is completely useless.

Re: [sold]some cox crap for sale
How much for a standard .049 needle valve without spring? The engine in my avatar needs one. Maybe (a) short backplate screw.

or here:

they don't sell 'em without the spring, but 4 $ ain't that much.
if you have questions about their products, we have both matt from exmodelengines
and bernie from coxinternational in the forum, so don't hesitate to ask us
