Very nice work indeed JB!
Far better than the Kavan extenders of old. I have one NIP but have never used it because of their tendancy to LEEEEEK.

I assume for the tank extender to work (I have never seen one installed before) That there is also an extender for the venturi tube....true false?

Sorry if it's all a little vague still guys but
1, I want to make sure they're right.
2, Unless I hear protests to the contrary I'm
Probably gonna let you guys sort out your
Own screws. The only unc bolts I've found over
Here have metric cap heads.
3, Still no idea of cost yet, Phil works to 15 quid per
Hour. My mates rates is 10. He's charged me 2.5 hours
For these, he assures me the dozen or so of each I'll order
will be Considerably less.
I think we're going to have a crack at those opposed twins
Next.

That's correct Fred.
The only other 'extra' needed is a second
O'ring. I'll stick a pic of it on later.

I think what happens with the Kavan one's Dave is the line between 'tightened up just enough' to keep it all together
and 'oooops too much it's crushed out of shape' is infinitesimally small.
I've got one on my Christmas Bee and I nearly distorted it by giving one screw just an extra 16th of a turn too many.

Never could figure why a country smart enough to follow the metric system uses such a convoluted monetary system.

I took for granted it was somewhat accurate.
After all, "I found it on the internet"
This should be a little more accurate.

Aaaaaaagh m m m metric? Wash your mouth out David
21 shillings in a Guinea, 20 shillings or 5 Crowns or 240 penny's in a pound, 2
tanners in a shilling, 6 penny's in a tanner,
2 ha'penny's in a penny, 2 farthings in a ha'penny
What could be simpler?

you should be able to find any 2-56 screw you need here:
http://www.boltdepot.com/Socket_button_head_Alloy_steel_black_oil_finish_2-56.aspx?nv=l
note: these screws are socket head, hardened steel, black oxidized. they make all kinds of heads, and finishes.
or here:
http://www.fastener-express.com/socket-head-stainless-black-oxide.aspx
shipping is expensive for small quantities.

Re: Cox bee tank extenders
Try McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com). Screws are usually cheaper, especially in bulk.
When buying a particular screw size, I normally buy a bulk pack of the longest screw I anticipate using, then cut to length as needed. I get bulk pricing and shipping generally is the same for 10 or 100 screws.

Re: Cox bee tank extenders
Replacing the crappy screws that came with
Kavan extenders, I could only find 1-1/2'L, 2-56 screws here.
http://www.mcmaster.com/#socket-head-cap-screws/=k8mhav
Shipping will cost as much as the screws.

Re: Cox bee tank extenders
I bet someone here can post a letter envelope that includes 8 or 12 of correct length 2/56 screws and no serious import hit at your end
don't remember who I sent the 0.10 glow heads to in GB but twas painless IIRC
I do not yet have any longer tank screws and need to wait for extender OAL before ordering a few sets

A half for the 049's.
Anyway hang fire till I get them fired up and prove they work.
I've just been 'reminded' by 'she who must obeyed' that it's

I doubt there's gonna be much tiny engine tinkering till
