Re: Good Deal?
I never did like doing Wingovers. My dad would rather do one of those than a loop. Lord knows why. I can sit there and loop all day long. occasionally fig 8 and inverted loops (too chicken to do outside loop flying normal). I just ordered some APC 6x2 props from my LHS. I recall Bernie saying they were good for stunt. I look forward to trying them out.

Yep. I figured it would be too much power so I went through all the steps I knew of to slow it down. Prop backwards. Muffler. 15% fuel. Rich. We tossed it and it lazed down. I started undoing them and eventually took all of them off until it flew satisfactory. I will get pictures. It was given to us and it appeared to be in a wreck. My dad had bought a Babe Bee and we decided to put that on it. He worked on the plane while I worked on the engine. Together we got it flying the next day. Definitely worth it. Flies absolutely amazing. Only change would be a throttle which we will add later. Pics in about 15 minutes on edit.

Re: Good Deal?
Ok. I ran out to my tractor and started taking pics of the plane. Actually got out of breath just jogging maybe 50 ft. Really humid and hot and that [bleep] off my asthma. Really sucks. I kinda went over board with the pictures. Got a ton.
As you can see the plane is rough. How it was when we got it. I reinforced the spot under the canopy. I noticed it would twist rather easily. Futaba batteries fit best in here. We never did get a canopy so we stuff paper towels over top the battery and add rubber bands.

Re: Good Deal?
That a Ford 8N? That looks like a different Asscent, but an E-flite probably would work.

Re: Good Deal?
How does the engine run in flight? Is it rough? The BW on my Cub runs terribly once it leave the ground. (fuel sloshes away from the pickup tube)
Re: Good Deal?
More Pictures. Mine is a 1964 Ford 2000. Twas' given to me by my Great Grandmother. My dad has a Ford 8n though. It was painted to match the newer color scheme that was coming "in style". Blue and white. Turning that things is like a lawn mower. Very easy.

Re: Good Deal?
Matt: It runs nicely. Pic Up tube is in RC position. Not a rough flight with insane turns or anything. Just nice lazy loops upwards and maybe inverted to kill it.

Hmm. Mine runs rough even flying in a straight line. I think I need to take the engine off and make sure the tube is at 6:00.
Re: Good Deal?
Travis: It is the second one. Now discontinued. The first could have it done to it as well.
Looking at these pictures lets me know that the original owner of this plane did not know how to finesse epoxy. It is globbed everywhere.

Hmmm, that's a good kill feature...

Re: Good Deal?
I have driven both the 2000 and the 8n. The 8n starts nicely but misses every couple of seconds. Rather annoying. No performance issues. Just noise.
My Ford is hard to turn and the clutch will need rebuilt soon. The wheel is starting to rust out and will also need replaced. Besides that it starts instantly and runs very smooth. We have a bunch of farm equipment that was left behind by my grandmother. Also have the farm.
