Re: Good Deal?
What about flipping the tank around? In that pick they have a regular prop but the tank orientation is different. That will allow the charge to be injected at a different time.

Re: Good Deal?
Just checked by turning it. It does flip the timing. Now to run it to be sure.

Re: Good Deal?
Checked with oil over venturi. CCW it bubbles out. CW it pulls in. Did opposite before I turned tank.
All directions determined from pilot seat.

Re: Good Deal?
I noticed in the picture their needle valve was opposite to mine and they had a regular prop on it. I thought that that was rather silly. About as silly as someone having that prop on my engine. So I tried flipping tank and it changed timing.

Re: Good Deal?
Tank venturi exit should be facing up, that I know. Also loosen the needle valve before removing the tank, it will drag on the venturi opening.

Re: Good Deal?
Travis: Apparently the opening does not need to face up. Mine is down and actually ran better. But That may be attributed to the timing being correct.

Re: Good Deal?
What you have in that RR-1 is a LH rotor. I think I have a 2 bladed 6x3 Cox pusher prop in my drawer, I'll dig later.
Re: Good Deal?
Thanks Jacob. There is really no need now that is goes in the correct direction. It really hauls!
Here is the plane with the Fins glued on. Ready to fly in the morning!

Re: Good Deal?
You're right, it is loud. A throatier lower pitch than the reedies, but faster. A 5.5x3 prop makes it really happy in the air with a small plane like that. Not as fast on the ground as a 5", but it really unwinds after a lap or two. You should get into balancing props if you want to run speedy engines without tearing them up. They won't run as fast unbalanced either.

Man Rusty. With how faster this thing is compared to a Black Widow it must really haul you Lil' Satan. Are you still using a muffler on yours?

Sure does, and I should know.
Re: Good Deal?
I flew the plane this morning. That thing is awesome. I believe it to be a Combat/Stunt plane of some sorts. It was very touchy. I only got one good flight. Crankcase gasket kept leaking.

Re: Good Deal?
There are tons of planes for these. Many CL and RC. I prefer Control Line with my 1/2a engines. We have two RC planes with Cox engines on them. One is called the Ascent. It was originally and ARF electric glider I converted. It flies beautifly. I got the plane for free. I would never have bought it otherwise (builder). The other is the Star Cruiser. It is a nice calm flyer. Not many ARFs for 1/2a. I have no problem building from plans or a kit though.

Re: Good Deal?
Really, on an Accent. Can you send me pics? I don't have one, but that's an E-flite and I like Horizon aircraft.
