Sterlings and Guillows Nieuport 28's
Blackwidows PSA thread got me side-tracked onto my ASP props which are attached to my Sterling Nieuport 28's. A favorite model of mine. Just a remarkable kit with a spun aluminum cowl and die cut, not die crunched parts. They snap out easily. I have built two and want to build another, but the price of kits has kept me away. Until...........
This kit showed up on ebay for a reasonable price BIN. I made an offer which was accepted.
Open box and the seller did not know if it was complete or not. I looked it over closely and it looks complete to me, but I saved the cutouts from my other kits so it would be easy to trace out any missing parts onto to stock balsa as replacements. The important parts cowl, decals, landing gear are all there.
I also made an offer on this Guillows model which was accepted.
I love the Nieuport 28, a history lesson if you ever research it.

Bob, your post on Nieuport 28's reminds me of this very interesting 11 minute video of an unexpected hero at the beginning of WW2, the humble but beautiful BritishGloster Gladiator biplane.

Re: Sterlings and Guillows Nieuport 28's
Thanks for that George. I watched the whole movie especially enjoying the brief shots of Italian aircraft of that era. They were just so wierd as to make them appealing.
The Gladiator reminded me of the British Fairley Swordfish so instrumental in the sinking of the German battleship Bismarck during WW2.
From wikipedia.........
Sorry, couldn't resist it. My all-time favorite. Lot's of air-time on the end of 52' steel lines. Tattered and torn, I bet I could crank over that Series 21 and fly it today as is.
