Fuel choice

Fuel choice
Was locating some more 30% fuel. I have a choice of sidewinder or VP. What would the group say if you had a choice of either which runs sweeter?
Thanks

Re: Fuel choice
Sidewinder isn't a manufacturer whereas VP is. Sidewinder is just the brand name that Morgan fuel offers. It receives high praises in the r/c car community . VP makes many different types of fuel. If your able to purchase the correct VP fuel, you won't have to mix anything. I will also note that Morgan is a bit tight lipped with revealing what percentages they offer in their fuel. Generally, the oil content of their fuel is very low.
This isn't the situation with VP. In fact, VP stopped manufacturing two specific control line type fuels. They actually responded back to me in a e-mail with qty amounts of product to add to essentially make the same fuel they discontinued. Due to lack of sales, they no longer offer high percentage castor oil fuels because it doesn't sell.

Over the last 4 months I have been bench running vintage NOS .049 sure starts and NOS 049 Baby Bees on the VP 30% 4496187 pro car from eBay with an un-scientific about 6 oz fuel with .3 oz (eye dropper full) of caster oil. The engines usually start on on the first flick and run consistently well with this mix. I do believe my after run maintenance has a lot to do with the quick starts and consistent running too.
