HA!!! "All fall down." A kids game we used to play.
I remenber that Eric. I did the same a few years back (and posted here) with a PT-19 like the one that Mauricio is currenty working with. Flat on my back. The difference is, Mauricio's orange and white PT-19 looks perfect while mine was held together with plastic butter cup applicaations.

I always thought of model building as a puzzle but in 3-D….When you scratch build something you have to build the pieces too!!….I think it came out very nice…. Really have to scrutinize to photos to notice it’s a replica….. The lineup shot on the floor is cool too !!

That .020 looks like a Big Block Chevy on that little plane..!
I wonder what or how the cost of that plane back in the day compared to the cost of other things..?
I ask because I saw almost NO MODEL AVIATION of any kind where I grew up.
There were a couple of Christmas morning disasters with Cox RTF and there was one mysterious visitor to our baseball field who showed up one day about 60 years ago.
He was probably in his 20s...pulled up in a VW / Dune Buggy ..then kicked us off the field right in the middle of our game so he could get set up to fly some sort of home made plane with the biggest and loudest model engine I ever saw. [It might have been a FOX or a McCoy .35].
From what I remember there wasn't much to the plane [it could have been a combat type].
Anyway he had it doing overhead stunts and things that looked awesome...unbelievably awesome on those long steel cables.
After a few flights he took off and we never saw him again.

The price on the box is $4.98 so it must have been bought with the engine, wheather the dealer added it or the manufacturer did I do not know.
If bought in 1956/58, about when the Cox .020 appeared, today $4.98 translates to $57.59. Not cheap.
