I mentioned earlier; the Dumas model boat running-hardware kits for 1/2A glow power.. and asked about the SB/SBJ thread-pitch on the output-shaft. Bob confirmed the 5-40.. as is in all the later Cox .049/.051 engines. The Dumas kits came with the flywheel.. (#6 center-hole must be bushed for 5-40 to avoid eccentricity leading to imbalance) and includes a Universal-joint which is internally threaded 5-40 in the hex-end.. and includes a steel shaft; threaded to mate with the u-joint's opposite end. These kits were complete... and some were meant for installation in their then; "Atlas Van-Lines" Hydroplane kit for either "free" or "tether" running.
Some photos..
the Dumas U-joint/flywheel assy that came in my kit # 2306
an example photo from the web, showing installation on a Babe Bee.. to power a Dumas AVL Hydro (18" length)
Dumas still offers those kits..

I have 5-40 hex-nuts that I can send to Bob.. which might help to fit a flywheel/U-joint assy. from that Dumas running hdwe. kit.

Re: Space Bug Jr. - Trying to determine just how stupid I want to get
I got the Franken Space Bug/Space Bug Jr. together this morning using Mudhen's crankshaft, Space Bug crankcase, and SB Jr.'s plastic tank and accessories. Mud sent a new prop drive washer too which I pulled on with a couple of toothpicks and nuts. Not fun getting those little ground off 2/56 nuts back on the bolts.
After I tightened the head I got a nice "it's going to run" pop flipping the yellow safety tipped prop.
Yesterday I ordered a bunch of parts from both Bernie and Matt. Got to wait on assembling the "authentic" SB Jr. until I get new case gaskets.

That rubber tipped key chain thingy, got the same from Bernie for an order I placed not long ago. It is a touch pointer clicker for a cellphone or tablet touch screen.
