I got your package yesterday. Thank you for allowing me to look them over. These are indeed two #7 Cox Medallion .051 cylinders with no-taper pistons, the pistons and cylinders are the real deal.
I'll get these back in the mail to you tomorrow.
Thanks.

Folks these are extras that the cox factory made and did not send to Bob beecroft not any of the original 258
They have no serials because they never were part of the original bunch theres no note from the nffs president. Theese should have made it to his hands but someone at the cox factory wanted a piece of history before it was ever made and thats what i have here.

Yeah it's cool!engine049 wrote:Yes Cool huh?nitroairplane wrote:So they are MFFSedallions without the serial number?
Completely out of context...NOT THE REAL DEAL MEDALLIONS
THIS IS BULLSH**
What I said is these are real Cox #7 pistons and cylinders with the no-taper pistons that are LEFTOVERS from the run of 258 engines that were made for NFFS. 300 engines were not manufactured for NFFS because the factory RAN OUT OF PARTS so did not make all of the engines. Tom took only PART of what I said to him and posted it here, completely falsifying what I had said to him. I'll quote precisely the remainder of the letter:
"One of them certainly appears to have a drive washer and spinner on it that didn't come with this assembly of parts...quite corroded compared to the rest, the front of the drive washer looking a bit worn, or at least the worst for wear from poor storage. I was surprised to find both are only partial engines, one far from complete, considering you were asking me to serialize them. That they are incomplete only serves to underscore what we'd been told by the factory; the NFFS contract was shorted at 258 engines because they ran out of parts. I'm sure they must have made the 300 pistons and cylinders. Obviously, these weren't destroyed and some will likely show up assembled onto new, complete .049 engines that are common. Others may be kicking around like these two. What you have here, best case, is leftover parts from the run of NFFS engines, not part of the production run of 258 NFFS .051 Special engines that were serial numbered, boxed, complete with decals, wrenches, instructions and a note from the NFFS president, all shipped in December 1996."
If this sounds like these are 'the real deal', in any stretch of the imagination 'real NFFS .051 engines', I'll put in with you.

Re: ghost 051 NFFS medallions
By the way I had the part of the letter that you posted up there for 2 days already so all the members on this forum already read that.. You wanna know what's Some Real BS bob Why don't you ask Bernie to forward you our emails back and fourth from last night.
False claims for NFFS Medallion .051 engines
You said "Folks these are extras that the cox factory made...."etc. Extras? And they didn't fulfill the order for 300, sending only 258? Sorry, I don't see how these could be in excess of the order for 300 then. I know one the lead engineer at the time, a personal friend of mine, didn't get one of the engines himself even, bought one later at an inflated price. Say what you may...folks, believe what you will.

Do really you think the lead engineer of a multi million dollar corporation really had time to stand over the shoulder of the JAFMO running the machine to make sure he/she only made 256? Don't be so naive.

I think this one has run its course of useful information. Y'all can finish working it out behind the scenes.
