Ha, woida
Your post caught me doing a 1016 inventory
On airplanes and flyable 6. 4 TeeDee's and 2 specialty Cox reed engines
In boxes test run and ready 26;
3 TeeDee .049
5 TeeDee .051
6 Medallion .049
3 Medallion .051
All of Cox international specialty performance engines
Various Bee configurations
2 Cox .09 Medallions
Almost all my Cox engines have slowly been gone through and the Paul Gibeault Mouse race recommendations applied
I also have a considerable stock of screws, gaskets, reeds, needle valves and a substantial expenditure of Texas Timers NVAs as well as many Cox international new TeeDee piston Cylinders, and other engine parts like drive plates, thrust washers, head shims, cylinder shims, a few new crank cases, crank shafts, and very extensive supply of glow heads: including Merlin and Galbreath versions

Re: couple of Medallions
As I was doing this yearly inventory I got to thinking....
When I found CEF I was actually looking for information about Black Widow Cox engines
I had one of the first year versions and it got passed along to one of my friends many years back
I wanted to try and replace it as one of my most favorite Cox engines
I did not know very much about TeeDees, Venoms, Golden Bees, NFFS .051s, -----in fact I learned that as a young man I was quite naive about ALL the various Cox engines
To this day ...... some six years now since I got the NOSTALGIA bug...I still do NOT have a good original Black Widow engine
Mostly because Bernie sold me a few of his specialty engines that make the Black Widow I had as a kid seem rather pedestrian (rpm wise)
I have never entered the Tack Race but I am confident I have a few Bernie made engines that are REAL competitive right out of the box

Re: couple of Medallions
Hmmm, I don't know, I'll have to go count 'em up. I bet I might have more than ten of them that would fly if I loosened some of them up. Thinking as I type, I have about 6 on planes that I could pick up and go. In the drawer, there are some good ones, an RR1, a pair of TD 09s and Medallion .049s, a QRC and a few stiff and worn Babe Bees and Black Widows, a clean spare TD .049... I'm better equipped than I thought.
Good thread, Woida.

Re: couple of Medallions
Not sure how many I have. Need to do an inventory. I think there is a 12 step program for my problem but I think I went straight to step 13.

Altogether 57 engines, 53 COX of all sizes 010-051, many on RC planes, plus 2 OS Max 56 FS on planes, and 2 NV-s in boxes.
You may call me an addict but I guess I am just one of the average collectors.
