Re: Enya 11CX diesel carby
They are(were?) available both ways. 11CXD-S (CL) and 11CXD (RC) 11CX40 is the carb.

You can try Enya direct http://www.enya-engine.com/catalogueE_top.html. Or maybe member sosam117 can help you?

Re: Enya 11CX diesel carby
Sorry it took me a while to answer.
I looked at my Enya 11CXD diesel engine and my Ultra 11CXD diesel engine to see "if" the same carb was used?
On the AAC Enya 11CXD it uses the carb, 195B30 which is a carb for the Enya 19 glow engine, but it has inside the venturi, a sleeve like what you would see on a control line venturi. You can remove the sleeve for an added power increase.
Now on the ABC Enya Ultra 11CXD it uses the carb, 11CX40 which is the one you might have to purchase.
But I also have "Four" Enya Ultra 11CXD with the 11CX70 carbs which were the last 11CXD engines Ken Enya had left on his website, which I snatched up.
One thing also with the 11CX70 carb is just like the Enya 195B30 carb. It has a sleeve in the venturi to reduce the size of the intake ----see the photo below of the intake with the sleeve.
At the bottom are photos of the Enya Ultra 11CXD with the 11CX70 twin needle carburetor with safety needle valve (pointing back from the prop).
If you purchased the engine without the R/C carb, then on the outside of the box in the little round circle it should have read:
11-CXD / next line -- "S" (for control line)
Currently, MECOA has a limited supply of them available for $38.25 ( shipping)
https://www.mecoa.biz/shopdisplayproducts.asp?Search=Yes
And the carb is considered a G-4.5 carburetor with a venturi size of 4.5mm in diameter.
So, in summary you can maybe get the 195B30 carb? Or the 11CX40? or the 11CX70?
It is up to you?
The twin needle carb I think would not be an advantage to have on a diesel engine as the engine has a good draw (for fuel) and it transitions well from idle to full power when set-up properly. (My opinion.)
If you get the 195B30 or the 11CX70 carburetors, you will have to sleeve the venturi down in size to either 4.5mm or 5.0mm.
The original size of those venturi is more for the glow engines, whereas the diesels can use a smaller size venturi.
If you do go with the larger venturi, you get a slight increase with a slightly higher RPM, but diesels run better with larger props at slightly slower speed and consume less fuel.
Brass sleeve in venturi to reduce intake size for the diesel engine verses the glow engine.
Look carefully and see the brass insert in the photo.
I was told by Ken Enya that no more 11CX40 carbs were available when I purchased these last four engines --- available?
So, the 11CX70 carbs were used?

Re: Enya 11CX diesel carby
One other strange thing on the last "four" Enya Ultra 11CXD diesel engines that I got from Ken Enya?
Even though they were in the boxes for the Ultra 11CXD which are supposed to be ABC engines, these seem to be the earlier Enya 11CXD engines which have AAC assemblies. (piston/sleeve).
Here is stepped photos of the engine on the box to zoomed in into the exhaust port.
as you can see that they are AAC and not ABC.
Now here are photos of the difference of the Enya 11CXD which is AAC and the Enya Ultra 11CXD which is ABC
This is the Enya 11CXD AAC
This is the Enya 11CXD ABC
By the way, which is the better engine, the 11CXD (AAC) or the Ultra 11CXD (ABC)?
Supposedly the Enya 11CXD engine (with the AAC) had more power.
The bore difference was what changed from the AAC to the ABC?
Look it up.

Well, your secret's out. That's quite a treasure-trove of Enya parts your local shop has available. I'd better see what I need, for local shipping!! Their prices are pretty good. They obviously stocked up long ago when times were better.

Yes, I know of Ace R/C Models as I have ordered Enya parts from them many times.
I went to their "new" website and typed in the 11CX40 part number, but nothing came up on their site?
And I manually looked through all ten pages (222 parts) to find the carb. but I guess that they have not posted the carb on their site as you say that they have seven available?
I usually try to get the best answer to help a fellow modeler out.
I'm glad that they (Ace R/C Models) did have the carb for you locally.
I have 3 Aussie's as friends there (Bob Ratts, Allan Lacock, and Mick), now I have another there?
Best of luck!

Darn!
My secret source of Enya parts has been discovered.
The cost of their Enya parts is way cheaper than MECOA's stockpile and Ace R/C Models are nicer to deal with.
And Ace R/C Models sometimes has the parts when Ken Enya doesn't have it.

Re: Enya 11CX diesel carby
Sosam, it looks to me like your engines are a mix of spare parts which were assembled after the actual production ended. So they do not reflect the original models.
I have not gone though all my engines, but I think that the twin needle carb was originally only used on the glow engines, while the diesel engines came with their "metering carb". Here is a comparison between the two:

Re: Enya 11CX diesel carby
That's the 11CX40 carb, with a 4mm bore and their "metering" feature for the mid and low range. This carb came with the 11CX-D (AAC), U11CX-D (the ABC, Ultra) and their SS15-D (all diesel engines).
The glow engines, U11CX and SS15BB, came with the TN-101C carb (twin-needle type).
The notation 11CX70 stands for the "throttle valve assembly" of the TN-101C carbs, as far as I can tell.
