Exteded run times tanks etc
Ok Guys fresh from annoying the Neighbours...
This is Christmas Bee No18 with it's 'new' Kavan tank extender.
It adds 5cc of squirt (10cc total) to the proceedings and now the Bee seems run in....
With 2 gaskets, 25%, 5x3 and a steady 18k it just clocked over the 4 min mark,-
I've read that 'they leak' and I know it's early days but this one seems fine.
It did 'leak' at first but that was before I put an o ring (yes the 'we make em outta fuel tube' one's)on both sides of the internal spacer.
I'd say it's a great product and worth looking out for particularly if you like RC.
Now lets get Bernies 'Tanked carb' set up...........................!

Re: Exteded run times tanks etc
Kinda cheated cos it's dark now so I can't test it and couldn't be bothered to swap back plates again
but you get the idea....
If I can get hold of some 2-56x 1.25's then I can make a 13cc R/C Texaco or B/W then watch out World

John,
I know you just rigged that setup, but do the bolt holes line up with that backplate? I know you are going to use the external tank backplate but I was just wondering.
If you could fab an adapter plate that would be cool.

That's because it doesn't exist.
I think a totally integrated unit would be quite useful and save some space/weight.

Hey, we all have a daft moment now and then......
Thanks Indra for pointing that out! I was thinking .010/.020 TD's
So I guess you just need to make a sealing gasket then.

Those with keen eyesight will probably have noticed that my tank screws were a tadlette too short, obviously
I hadn't...
However I've ordered some but tanked throttle exploits will take a little longer...

Sorry Kim
BTW
I know I'm very new to all this coxalisation but I may be forming an idea that (whisper it) TeeDees are over rated and reedies
are where it's at.
Brief explntion, My surestart Bernie new TD topend Hybrid starts 1st or second flick and seems very happy at 20+k
This afternoon I spent close on 2 hours getting an 051 TD running and third tank it broke the conrod.
I've also marveled at Rustys fortitude and patience starting his Medallion on his vid.
I'll try an TD 049 tomorrow to see if I can revise the above opinion.....

Just to be honest, I do not see this working too well. Normally the backplate is pressed flat against the firewall. The part you have the chokes tube going over would be covered by the firewall. Now if you can plug up that indent in the backplate that is for breathing, it would work.
