My Boys First Wingover

My Boys First Wingover
Ive attached some pics of my lads first wingover. he is actually 28, but I call him my boy still as he has a severe intellectual dissability from a massive brain injury at birth that didnt need to be. He has an IQ of only 60 so will never live fully independantly, but has done and continues to do amazing things with his life and the rubbish cards he was dealt.! when Im in the city now and then we go fly CL half-A planes together and drive our RC Cox powered air cars with streamers on them so we can have air car combats. Or when he comes up where I am we do the same but also go out fishing in the boat. Yay.
Recently whilst out flying I said to him, you are going great at just flying nice and level and keeping it level, try doing some ups and downs as well and then maybe you can build up your skills to do a wingover one day. Two flights latter without telling me or asking how to do a wingover, he had a go! the pictures tell the story. the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. No idea how to do it, but just went for it and just like his old man, stacked it.
at least he gave it a go. Bit of super glue and the plane will be good as new for the next adventure.

Yea for your son giving it a go at a wingover ! That's kinda funny last time my son (23) flew i told him to go for it with a loop and the plane is so slow it barely made it over the top It was under 90 degrees and still to hot for my likens . Good to hear ya'll are doing things together every chance you get .

Likewise Eric! sometimes the simple things are the funny and happy things Glad to hear you also get to fly with your lad sometimes! Flying CL Nitro Engines might be 'old school' but its still good fun if you take it as just being a good fun time.

Nothinng like home grown vegies Eric! With plenty of pesticide added to get that authentic taste. Seems Like almost everyone in the states and Canada on the forum live in the countryside (outback) away from the citys and towns. you all seem to be able to fly in your back and front yards.

wow Eric! what an awesome backyard!! It looks like a painting must be so good for you to live in a setting like that.
Thanks Kim Im sure my lad will get some loops and wingovers in eventually. There is nothing he doesnt try and he even says that sometimes it takes him longer to learn than other people but he does eventually learn it

Re: My Boys First Wingover
Father/Son times Yabby - Special. I'm happy that you share them in spite of the bad luck. A little glue and he's back in the air all the better for the experience.
Nice circle Eric. Looks like someone got in there with a mower and went round and round.
Crop art. Flying over the planes States to Denver I used to see them.
This one may be a little too good, but you never know.
