Re: Got the covid shot
Got my second day before yesterday, Moderna. Never felt the needle. Woke up the next morning not feeling well and had breakfast. I didn't feel well so I slept most of the day. About three in the afternoon I had some chicken noodle soup. Lost that in about five minutes, "blowing chow" we used to call it in the Navy. Sick as a dog, about an hour later I lost the rest of it. Not fun. Had a fever of 101. 24/36 hours of not so great. Feeling fine this morning.
Not sure if it's connected, but last February before this got a lot of notice, my son and I and a friend were all sick with Covid symptoms for a couple of days and got over it. Now they are saying if you already have had Covid you might just need a single shot. My "third" shot might have been a bridge to far. Don't know

I had my first zenica jab today in UK, ouch it hurt. I went off like a ballon farting and flying about in the sports hall and finally got stuck in the rafters. The fire brigade got me down ok .
Only joking....
About this time last year my "circle" came down with a really heavy flu and fever, in bed for 3 days off and on.
I/we reckon it was covid too. Not been the same since, lots of aches and pains and not as much stamina as before, but, this may be down to heart attack and sten fitted 2 years ago, diabetic and getting old, well my legs are, in my head I'm still 16
Stay safe out there, be patient don't become one, stay safe.

Re: Got the covid shot
Got my first my Moderna shot moments ago. I wanted this one on a Wednesday so if I got sick, I could stay home with pay. I'll be upset if I just ruined a weekend with this...and the weekend following my four-weeks shot #2.

Re: Got the covid shot
My wife was forced to get the shots due to her job in healthcare. First shot was a sore arm for a week...second shot she was sicker than a dog for a week and missed work due to it.....which they wouldn't pay for!.....no thanks....not into intentionaly making myself sick! The whole thing is a big pharma scam to start with.

Re: Got the covid shot
Got my first haircut in over a year yesterday, tipped my regular barber forty bucks. Figured I had saved over $300 in the past year on haircuts and tips. She was quite happy to get it, times have been rough for her. Also ate out with my son at IHOP no mask one year plus and feeling great. Two weeks since my second shot occurred two days ago. Going over to my daughters tomorrow, pulling up carpet and replacing with laminated flooring. A job put off for to long.
Going on 84, seems good to be alive again.

I got the first Pfizer shot a week ago, whole arm was sore for a few days and didn't feel so hot. Really rethinking the second. Our 40 year Son got Kung Flu and spent 6 days hospitalized, really sick.

It’s a weird virus. I got it during Christmas 2020. I had the sniffles and lost my taste and smell. Gone in a week although my senses still aren’t quite right. At the church I attend we have lost roughly 10 people. One girl was 29 and a Mother. No health problems either. It’s just not fair. For me it was a walk in the park. For others deadly.
Go ahead and get the second shot Doug.

Did your family get sick also Ron? I got the first because of my Sons illness surprised me. He was lucky cause by then they had a effective treatment figured out. I will probably get #2.
If you had it and not family that would be a miracle. I can't imagine loosing ten in one church.

Re: Got the covid shot
Yep, kind of a miracle. I wore my mask in the house and only took it off outside. I only had sniffles no cough, I would sneeze once and a while, covered my mouth like Mom taught me. My kids had a stuffy nose about a week after I was better. But nothing more than that. None of us had a fever over one degree than normal. Which was measured with a home thermometer. Wife treats me like I have bubonic plague. Even when I am not sick:D
I know how I feel when I have a fever and I know I didn’t have one. I only went to the doctor because I lost my smell and taste. Got the test and was told no regular Flu, but you have Kung Flu.
With as much as I travel it was bound to happen. Just feel bloody lucky that it wasn’t worse.
I am a common sense guy. I never get worked up. To me Covid is a joke, but I can’t deny people I know dying around me.

Re: Got the covid shot
My bride and I had the virus in January '20. No one knew what it was at the time.
I was diagnosed as having bronchitis, and my wife, had what we assumed was the
common flu. We recovered and had antibody tests in May. We hadn't been ill at all
since January, but we tested positive for the antibodies.
We're going for our second Moderna vaccine dose tomorrow am.
What a world.

RE: Got the Covid shot
Just a heads up....
I have heard and seen reports recently where Life Insurance companies ( US and Canada and maybe worldwide) will not pay the beneficieries (sp) of people who have died due to the Covid vaccinations. The reason given is that the Covid vaxx is an experimental medical procedure that they refuse to cover with a payout.
Quite a terrible trick play on the homefolk in their time of most need and have paid in for maybe decades !!!!!
All this for protection from a virus with a 99.95% recovery rate !!!!
Every week we hear of family and friends who have gotten vaxx mainly due to the daily ocean (for over a year) of fear porn sold by mainstream media. It's very sad !!!
Some may want to contact their Life agent and get it in writing from the company for peace of mind.
FWIW
Godspeed.....

Re: Got the covid shot
Got my second shot Friday, and am trying to avoid and separate any "imagined symptoms" from my normal tired crankiness. I did sit out the Fun-Fly at Breezy Hill, as I didn't want to be 60 miles from home if I DID get sick.
I'm not at all convinced that any of this was necessary, but I've now jumped through this hoop, trying to be reasonable and responsible.
Now awaiting for the next Chinese Plague of Filth, and the decisions I'll then have to make when it arrives.

Re: Got the covid shot
The list is growing out here of people dying after the Astrazeneca jab. We haven't had a death from the virus for I don't know how long.
Latest included a "healthy" 40 year old man who developed blood clots. I'm taking my chances as long as I can. They are only offering Astrazeneca to my age group. These things only stop us from getting the effects of the virus, not actually kill the bug or stop us from carrying/spreading it. The vaccine is only giving people a false sense of hope. Put your hope in the Great Physician instead.

Re: Got the covid shot
Well, I got my first stab yesterday, the Astrazeneca. About 14 hours later I had a mild discomfort at the site. Then early this morning got the chills. Been riding the bed and couch today. .... But amy definitely starting to feel a bit better now, approximately 36 hours after the stabbing.
On another note, someone else I know is an RN, and their non-scientific study had apparently shown that people that had contracted Covid (showing symptoms or asymptomatic ) had shown more effects to the vaccine than those that didnt. Again, this was a non scientific study done.

Re: Got the covid shot
Being among the elderly, I had my second shot nearly a month ago. First injection (Moderna) just caused some light tenderness; second one was significantly more sore and I spent the day after mostly on the couch -- not really ill, but just had no pep (hard to tell from the normal no-pep). Kathy's second shot put her down for two days. She thinks she may have had Covid around the first of the year -- her being affected more severely might lend some traction to the idea that the second injection hits those folks harder. Either way, we're both glad to have some protection now.

I did hear the second shot does a bit more to a person's body than the first shot. But after 2 Advil I was fine. I wish I took the Advil earlier.

Re: Got the covid shot
Well here's the latest for you to muse over.
I'm not here to say yes or no, good or bad, but here's my experience.
Had the second shot early November last year. First one (AstraZeneca) gave me a fever, headache and body aches. All gone after 24 hours. Second shot left me feeling like I had a head full of mud which lasted for a couple of months. Once that had cleared up I gave the vaccine no more thought.
Like a good boy I headed off to the doctor to report some regular mild chest pains and shortness of breath. "Alarm Bells". With a family history of heart issues and aneurisms I thought it best to have it checked out. Blood test- Cholesterol perfect as was pressure. Off to have an ultrasound stress test. On the bike, (mask in place ) I pushed my BPM up to 146, then a few quick ultrasounds while holding my breath. You try breathing out and holding after getting your heart rate up to 146.
Heart behaving abnormally- off to a cardiologist. He said "good boy" for following it up as heart attack is a major killer. Off to get a Coronary CT Angiogram. That's where you get an injection of that "dye" stuff that makes you feel like you've wet your pants. (It really did!!). Checked out all the arteries. No blockage, no aneurisms, everything normal. Still can't walk 100 yards without chest pains and out of breath.
OK Doc, what's going on here? When did it start? Ahh, right after my second jab. Tell me I'm not being paranoid Doc! Nope, seems I'm not paranoid. The cardiologist then tells me how common the problem is and that it is indeed an after-effect of the vaccine. I'm one of 17 patients of this guy with the exact same issues. A city colleague of his is dealing with 1,000 patients who have been confirmed as having the exact same after-effect.
His "off the record" advice was, if you don't need to get the booster, don't get the booster. He estimated around 12 months recovery.
Just sayin'

Re: Got the covid shot
I had 2 Astras in early and mid 2021 then a Pfizer in November...after-effects were almost none on me, except for some headaches after the 1st Astra. My wife had more inconvenience including blood pressure issues..
My wife and I went through a COVID in February this year with very mild symptoms, even a sore throat was not experienced..so I believe the vaccinations may have different after-effects person by person, but I know of more people who have died of Covid un-vaccinated than vaccinated...knock on wood, so far my family and I have been left mainly intact by Covid...who knows how we would have ended up without the vaccines?

I'm happy to have had the vaccine because it will probably save me from serious symptoms should I end up catching it, but in hindsight I may have been better to consider a different vaccine than I got. While my side effects might seem fairly mild, it is really scary to think that your heart is not doing what it should. My dad dropped dead of a heart attack at age 58, so I'm probably extra paranoid. Doctor says I need to be clear of all heart symptoms for six months before considering the booster.

My Dad had his first heart attack Rod at 43, couple more after that. Years before stents and the treatments that we have today. But it was a stroke that got him at 69.
My brother had heart attacks but we lost him at 87 to Parkersons. Point is.......don't worry be happy.

I hear you, Bob. My father was buried on his 71st birthday, died in surgery with his 2nd bypass, because he would not give up the cancer sticks after his 1st triple bypass, 20 years prior. Was very obese when he retired back in the mid 1960's, the US military then did not have any body weight control program.
We all need to be careful with our health, learning to improve our health to the point of needing minimal or no medication at all. I no longer have the faith in modern medicine that I had years ago, mainly because I see nasty side effects with the current meds that did not seem prevalent in past meds either prescription or over-the-counter.
I was given a prescription for Baclofen, a muscle relaxant for my herniated disk in my back. Only a weeks use, it had me so completely constipated that it actually scared me . What was normal turned to bricks, then smaller bricks. Then the bricks turned pebbles stopped coming, I stopped taking it, some self treatment (Ken, I don't refer to my Enya's as Enemas ) and a couple days later, I was back to normal.
If I developed an intestinal blockage, the cure is simple. They surgically open you up, remove the blockage, sew the end of the small intestine to your stomach wall to fill a colostomy bag while the large intestine heals. Then they reopen you up to connect your plumbing back together along with a slow recovery trail.
I've seen old tried and true OTC medications being withdrawn from pharmacy shelves replaced with newer, because their copyrights and patents had expired, no longer bringing the main stream pharma industry high profits. The replacements are less effective but more costly. For example, Drixoral was extremely effective against my worst pollen allergies, but sales was discontinued in US a decade ago. Actifed worked, but it was reformulated, it didn't work for me. Now, even the reformulated disappeared.
I get more antihistamine action from Skittles than I do from Zertec and Claritin. Allegra barely works.
Why are we taking anti-viral medical advice from someone without a medical background, who couldn't even keep his Micros**t operating systems viral free?
And, this is truth. Bill Gates applied for USPTO (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office) Patent No. WO / 2020/060606. See
https://proippatent.com/Infocenter/detail/47/what-is-patent-060606-microchip-and-famous-bill-gates-patent-number?lang=en
proippatent.com wrote:Patent WO / 2020/060606 relates to officially recorded facts. It was registered on March 26, 2020. It was made by Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC under the presidency of Gates and gained international status on April 22, 2020. " Cryptocurrency system using body activity data " is the title of this patent.
The online patent application can be summarized as follows: The human body activity associated with the task provided to a user can be used in the mining process of a cryptocurrency system. A server can provide a task to a user's device connected to the server. A sensor attached to the user's device or positioned within it can detect the user's body activity. Body activity data can be generated based on the attained body activity of the user. The cryptocurrency system connected to the user's device can verify whether the data generated by body activity meet the conditions set by the cryptocurrency system, and can issue cryptocurrency to the user whose body activity data is verified."
In other words, thanks to the crypto money, the chip that monitors the daily physical activity of the person will be placed in the body. If the conditions are met, the person receives certain bonuses that can be spent on something.
You can do a search on the patent office and you'll find it. They've been talking digital ID, vaccine passports, the whole 9 yards. What in blazes is really going on?
BTW, I had the double jabs of Moderna, and am holding off on the booster. I agree with a few of you, there's more than meets the eye for a pandemic that is not a pandemic but a money maker for the extreme wealthy ....
