Re: Fuel for Cox .049 in Europe
Hi Andras
In Bangkok the only way to get 30% nitro was for me to get a mix that had 22% synthetic. I added about 6% castor and had many discussions with ones on the forum. Some said it would gum up others said different things. However Ken confirmed it would be fine. It was excellent 100 +- flights later. Not one issue at all no loose ball or socket and rpm excellent too. Some even said synthetic on it's own is ok I would prefer that as it is cleaner than the castor. I still added the 6% castor just for peace of mind. I would have tried 10% castor but I could not get enough of it at the time. But trust me the fuel ran very good with masses of synthetic and 6% castor. The synthetic hardly smoked so I didn't see much difference at all.
For what it is worth my two cents. You know your fuels too my friend!
Thanks
Darren
