Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Today's the day! Get your final designs in if you haven't. I'd like to have them by about midnight tonight 11:59pm CST (GMT-6).
I don't know how I'm going to get that Spider Box out of my display case, it might've fused to the shelf!

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
A nice addition to Andras' entry might be to add "Home of The World's Smallest Traveling Engine"

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Those are some good ideas akjgardner. One issue is you'd have to ask Matt and Bernie if you can use their images (the Dacron and handle). Also, take a look at the 1974 Cox Catalog hosted here on the forum for good engine illustrations.
András, Is the .010 picture one you took?
Also, there can be no background on images, even if you try to find a shirt that is the same color as the background, it will still show up.
If you cannot extract the background, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Send your final designs here: tshirt_contest@coxengineforum.com
I would really like to have the design itself, not just it fitted to a t-shirt.
This is who I have received designs from so far:
• 1/2A Nut
• Levent Suberk
• nico010
• balogh
If you sent something and I didn't list your name, please resend it.

Thanks, Dave, for the comment. I am wondering how long the full text including your suggestion should be so that it can be readable at a short glance by onlookers?

Thanks, Jacob,
yes, that is my photo on one of my 010 babies. Unfortunately I do not have any photo editor on my corporate laptop and cannot install anything here without our corporate admin support. Therefore I cannot extract the background myself.
The text box used for the text, and the COX logo I made both have no background.. Only the 010 photo has its grey background. In fact, when making the photo, I put the engine on a CEF T-shirt I bought from Bernie a while ago just to show how the beautiful colors of the COX engine combine with the grey color of the shirt I like.
So I send you the actual design in a separate email as a word file with all 3 objects (photo, text and COX logo I made) editable and blown up to the desired print size. I will appreciate your help in extracting the background in the photo.
András.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
I just hope Jacob doesn't end up with too much editing work to do. I appreciate that not everyone has the knowhow or equipment to edit their pictures how they need to be, but Jacob's already giving a lot (the prize engine). He doesn't need to spend a heap of time as well.
Thanks for everyone's efforts in helping to promote the group.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
I do not expect Jacob to do anything with my photo before the CEF community selects the winning design and that will happen to be mine ...there should be some balance made between the simplicity and visual merits of the design because we want to wear the T-shirt. And Jacob was kind enough to offer his help, anyway. I am sorry not to have the skills and tools to edit the photo..I was trying to cut the engine from its background but except on my phone, I do not have any tool on my corporate computer.
