Thanks Kim,
I keep thinking that you will find one of those old Link trainer "Blue Boxes" stashed away in a dark corner of the hangar. Maybe restore it as you did the Putt-Putt.
If you ever do, ring me up I'll come out and help you out. Link made thousands and even sent them overseas.

Will do! I can't take too much credit on the Putt-Putt Restoration though...it's sort of stalled right now, but hopefully later this year I'll get some work done on it !!!!

This guy found one.

My thought too Ron, a spacer. Too light for a nose weight but there is no need for a spacer either as there is plenty of room between the prop and the fuselage. Maybe something to position the spring starter. Doesn't show up on the parts diagram either, but it's definitely intended to be there. Same size and serrated.

Happy Birthday Old Man!
I need to thank you for posting about your trip to New Hampshire last spring. Built a fire under me to do the same. We spent a week up in Maine on Thompson Lake a couple weeks ago and it was the most relaxing week I've had in decades. So thanks for that!

Thanks Dave. Happy to help.
Beautiful country up there in Maine although we always referred to it as going "Down Maine". I hunted deer there way back when. Maine and West Virginia are Americas most forested states.
We ate at Warrens Lobster House during our visit and crossed the bridge over to Maine. We made stops in seven states during our trip.
Did you drive, plane or train?

Re: Happy Birthday to me
We drove. Too many toys. I rented the house right after your trip and didn't realize we'd be driving up over Labor day weekend until a couple weeks before. I-95 on Labor Day weekend is not my idea of a vacation, so we took back roads to Danville VA and drove through the mountains. Added about 100 miles each way, but what a pleasant drive! Well, until we got on 84 in New York. Then it was combat driving until we saw the Bien Venue au New Hampshire sign at the state line liquor store. Got some great pictures I'll post in another thread.

Re: Happy Birthday to me
Maybe it keeps the prop from grabbing the spring? Doesn’t usually happen but maybe because of the vibration and different prop style. I have one of those spacers, I thought it was something other then Cox related.

Ron
Seems Bernie has them for $2.95 ea. Cox referred to them as a nose weight.
