Cox Airplanes from the 1980"s & 90"s
I have seen a lot of these Cox planes up to the point of before they stopped Production. Its a Cool Plane! I was just going to buy a Cox Cessna EZ Flyer at the Hamburg PA swap meet a couple weeks back but I had one about 15 years back and it seemed with the little cylindrical plastic fuel tank I was only able to get the thing to fly around 3 circles and the it ran out of fuel, Maybe retro fit a Perfect Model airplane Tank???? Have fun!!! Bill.

That would fix your fuel problem Bill if you maintain CG on these floaty planes.
I was going to do a comparison between the Cox Fokker D7 and the Aurora D7 but gave it up because there is no comparison. The Aurora is simply a much better designed and thought out model. Heck Aurora even molded in a keeper for the tail skid and a priming hole for the engine in the radiator in the C/L version. From nose to tail a much better model.
But the Aurora sold for $14.99 and I think the Cox for around $7.99, anyone know for sure?
I haven't got the Aurora Fokker D7 built yet so the British SE5 is shown.
Has anyone actually flown one of these peanut scale Coxes? In addition to the D7 I know they made a similar Sopwith Camel and maybe others? I would be afraid to put it in the air. It's all engine and little weight or wing.
Got the Testors Galix cleaned up. Removed about a pound of dust but no fuel residue. ok, maybe an ounce of dust.
But, I could not free the engine. Pulled it from the model and applied heat and Remoil to no joy. Left it.
Still trying to figure what needs bending to straighten the horizontal stab. Either the right or left boom to angle the second rudder or the other one to make it vertical.

Cox D-7 definitely Testor Fly-'em grade. Sandbox toy with an engine, rock on a string.
