Nice find Bob. When I first saw that thing online in pictures, I had always wondered how well it flew, considering how badly many of the other plastic models flew. As well, I would like to thank you as without you buying all these things, we would not have anything interesting to see and talk about!

I agree with Chancey! I really love space-ship type toys/models.. and to have some IC engine-powered ones is just plain cool.. in my humble opinion.
Re: Cox/Testors ducted fan Star Wars plastic junque
Just lube the engine with Rislone and leave it just like it is. It probably won't even run (especially if it has a "notch valve" fuel metering system). Fly?? I've got a Swingline made in China stapler that would probably fly free flight better with a GHQ spark ignition engine pulling it.

Oh, I forgot, remove glow head and washer and replace with a burned out one.

$169.99 - $189.99 shipped.
Here are a couple of interesting auctions on which I was outbid. Still bargains at present.

Yeah, what is that? Comet? Wen Mac? Wen Mac did have a pusher but without that style tail.
Bob, That's a neat "Spitfire" in your ebay link. Long nose though.
Yeah, he got his terminology all mixed up with the Airacobra.
I should have stayed in, $26.88, I would have bettered that. Thought in the mid forties or something.
But I have so many of the darned things already. Found another one yesterday while going through some boxes and added it to the crowd.
There are six in that picture and at least two more lurking around somewhere.

Old rod-- they're both Wen Mac. The give away on the rocket plane is the needle valve and the wheels.

Re: Cox/Testors ducted fan Star Wars plastic junque
Wow pumpkinsaysmeow ships fast.
Just look at this crazy thing, not my cup of tea but I'm allowed a trip to the dark side every now and then.
Either the flux capacitor or a viewable fuel tank. Full and half.
Nothing broken but the horizontal stab is bent. Dust is free but the engine isn't.
Light as a feather, might be fun to fly. Interesting prop nut for a starter maybe. Anyone have a manual?
Bob

It should already have a Rotomatic starter. I think the nut is just so a flat Testor-Mac wrench can loosen the thing up from the recessed prop hub. All you need to do is get the engine clean and loose w/o messing up the stickers and see if a little heat gun work will let you flatten the elevator-- then off to the museum of Wild Bill oddities.

Omg! you open a cellophane wraped NIB Testors!! GASP!
I shouldn’t admit this in public, but I do like those spaceship like models. If
I had seen it on the Bay, i
I probably would’ve tossed a bid at it!

That wrapped model was from roddies photo collection Chancey. I bottom feed in the unwrapped section.
Yes, Victor that must be the infamous Testors pipe bomb engine in there, right?
Interesting way to fuel, looks like a needle of some sort port.
Hopefully Mark B. can come up with a source for a manual, his search function is way better than mine.
Found it on ebay, made an offer. Hopping I could find one free on line. Whoops, forgot to check here at the CEF instructions.

I can't tell if it's plastic or a pot metal pipe bomb, but I would think the plane would be tail heavy with a metal crankcase.

Thanks Chancey, found them on ebay, asking $19.99 OBO I offered $15. It's more the game than the money.

My eyesight isn't what it used to be, but from a strained view at exploded diagram, I believe you have a standard metal pipe bomb in this one.

You are missing a spinner cap for the deep recessed prop hub.
