Wen Mac p39 canopy removal help
Does anyone here know how to remove the canopy on a Wen Mac p39 without breaking it? Thanks

I assume you have the version with the fixed canopy, not the ejector seat type. Can't help I'm sorry. I have the RAF Dayfighter version with the canopy and pilot missing. Must have ejected over the ocean
Still looking for a replacement. One moulded from a soda bottle that I can glue in place would be fine.

Yes, and I have been racking my brain trying to remember how or if I removed the canopy on the fixed one, or even if there was a true fixed canopy.
I have both, the eject the pilot plane and not. Both canopies just slide forward and up out of the air frame. But I have two that I have not dealt with that look like there are hold-downs fixed inside of the cockpit.
Got to explore those further.
Notice, the white one with the pilot eject feature has a hole in the front of the dash for the release clip, while the silver (King Cobra) does not. Both tilt forward.
