Cox Engine of The Month
Ok, I'm really excited about this one.

Ok, I'm really excited about this one.
Just the right amount of distress without a major overhaul. And.........I'm back to airplanes.
I can't find much on Aurora control line models on google especially this one. There are a couple on ebay right now, a P47 Thunderbolt and a B-25 at prices I would not want to pay. This one was a relative bargain.
The .049 looks a little rough, but I have a nice front end just missing the fuel tank and reed. Ought to be a good marriage.

The prop is broken, good luck fixing that. Practically worthless if you ask me

That is a neat little plane there. Sorry that you have only the engine front and not the back. I have have an Aurora Tornado .049 here that I did a little bit about on here a little while ago, however the reed was shot, and I unfortunately took it apart to try and fix it, but it did not appear to work at all. But, on the bright side, I have yet to try running this engine so I cannot say for sure that it will not run. Also to note, my backplate and tank also have a few small cracks on each, so that will be another obstacle. Wishing you luck finding the parts you need. If I do ever see or come across anything, I will keep you in mind.

Not a problem, I'll just call Jason.....
Actually I'm looking for a four blade prop to replace it. If I run it, it will be on a wooden top Flight 6/3 or thereabouts.
But, you know I'm going to try to make something that will attach to the stump for static display.
And, thanks CB I need to get over there more often.
Maybe it will help me flesh out Freddys gift of a SE5A
I'm kind of serious about that.
And thanks Chancey.

Hey Robert! That's a sweeeet little bipe! We both have a soft-spot for them! Mr. "fix-it" to the rescue! I've got scads of old propellers. If you need one with its hub bored-out larger or bushed smaller.. let me know. I'd be glad to help you out.. even if you want a static/display propeller. I have LOTS of old 2-blade woodies in 6-7-8" diameters.
Re: Ok, I'm really excited about this one.
The engine is most likely an .060.

Good deal. Looks like you may not have to use your other front end after all; it cleaned up pretty nice.

No, this is the one I have. I haven't got the plane yet.

In that case, I renew my prediction that your SE-5 will come with an .060.

Yes, me too
Can't wait to get my hands on it. Same seller had this un-powered Authentic Models Fokker DII for sale ending just minutes after the SE5A. I didn't realize I was on Internet Explorer (ya I know) instead of Firefox when I made my bid and hadn't signed in and lost it. Went for next to nothing. Still kicking myself.

That is a pity to lose the Fokker. First thing I would do with it would be to make all those interplane wires disappear. The Fokker had cantilever wings.

When did you get so smart?
Funny, most DII models have the wires, while the full scale doesn't. Some later Fokkers had them though.
I put them on my Nieuport 28 and I think they add a lot. They have slacked in the last 40 years, but they withstood many flights.
Maybe the model makers thought them a good sales feature.
