Re: Looking for a Dragonfly or parts
This is what I need it for. I built this one in '93 from MAN plans. It's called The 1/2A Stealth Sport. This one has been in the garage for the last twenty years or so and has some hanger rash. The worst is that the tail booms are warped. No carbon fiber in '93. Not sure if I'm going to repair this one or build another. I've got an engine for this one, but I want to build one for my brother. I thought it would be easy to find a Dragonfly but it turns out not so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
I have the plans, build article and templates if anyone is interested.

Re: Looking for a Dragonfly or parts
Thanks Eric. I had already asked Bernie if he had any tanks left and he didn't. The engine on his website was shown as out of stock, so I assumed there weren't any left. Based on your recommendation, I sent him an email asking if he had any Dragonfly engines hidden away somewhere. Turns out he did. Nice box, wrenches, new manual and all. Guess I'm building a new airplane after all. Wouldn't be right to put a shiny new engine on an old airplane.
Thanks again,
Dave

Re: Looking for a Dragonfly or parts
As far as cleaning goes, I'm a goldsmith so I have some serious cleaning equipment. If you ever need parts cleaned beyond a good soaking, stop by a jewelry shop. A quick run in the ultrasonic followed by a shot of steam does a great job of blowing out all the gunk. You might even be able to talk them into a little polishing here and there. Turn that little gem into a jewel!
