Re: My NOS plane collection
Truth be told guys.. I have a ton of cox collectibles but never turned on an engine, flown a plane or raced a car. I don't know how nor know anyone by me that is competent with them and with most of mine being NOS it wouldn't make sense to remove from package to fly or race but been really dying to see one in action in person. I collect them because I find them so amazing and the quality is amazing plus I'm a speed guy and I know they're fast so I love them all! Lol

Cox Models
I Admire the collectors that don't run the Models, I have a few that have not been run but running them is so much Fun!!!!!!! I have The Jeep, Snowmobile, Dune buggy, and Matador Stocker on You tube to check out. you could always buy a model from Ebay and run it to see what its like. I am going to My Cox Proving Grounds tonight to run a Duneblaster and beater Jeep. If You guys like Prototypes Check out gascarman.com. I just got 3 New Body Kits in the Mail From Larry, What a great Guy! Cox Action Power!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your collection Bro!!!

Cox Cars and planes
Wow!!! That's a nice little stash of Cox Models! Good For You!! If You ever want to sell any cars let me know. Try to Elevate the duneblaster off the Cardboard platform to keep the tires round. the Same with the Trikes, so they don't get flat spots. I would love to get one of those Testers moon buggys and run it, Unfortunatley Testors did not seem to have any parts support that I know of and Based on the Testors engines I ran in the last 20 years they were not as good as COX

Re: My NOS plane collection
Thanks Bill and thanks for the advice. I have seen in many cases were the tires get flat spots, such a pitty. The Testors buggy is super cool and its size makes it cool also. Wonder if parts from Testors be swapped out for some comparable Cox parts. I'm not to experienced with this so I'm not sure if the engines were even interchangeable..

Re: My NOS plane collection
That's awesome Bill.. I Have the same one, NOS in its original incasement. I just wish I had half your knowledge!! Lol. And, yes, I am totally guilty of trying to get to the mailman before my wife sees him and hiding my new package amongst the other boxes I have stored away. Lol. I tell my wife that it could always be worse.. I could of been addicted to drugs and hookers so be happy it's toys!!! Lol!!!!!!!!

Re: My NOS plane collection
I kind of got lucky and joined the model engine Collectors Association around 2000 after that I've been speaking with collectors literally all across the United States of America Dan sitter from California has provided some very interesting information through the engine collectors journals and if you run these cars and airplanes I've learned more in the last 20 years playing with these toys then I did in the early 70s when I was a kid
