Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
As you may have seen in another post, I'm reprinting cardboard boxes for my cox engines... I also need the inserts, specific to the model... Thanks to a lot of members of this forum, I was able to get them all...
If you need one of those, they are avaliable here:
- Pee Wee .020 [16.2 MB] (this one comes from me)
- Babe Bee .049 [7.11 MB] (this one too)
- Sure Start .049 [4.88 MB] (I made this one up, if a real one exists, please let me know...)
- Black Widow .049 [6.11 MB] (Thanks to Ivanhoe)
- Medallion .049 [1.15 MB] (Thanks to Matt)
- Tee Dee .051 [1.58MB] (Thanks again Matt)
- Killer Bee .049 [1.69MB] (Many many thanks )
- Texaco .049 [0.91MB] (Maaaaaat )
- Venom .049 [1.60MB] (Thanks to Bernie)
- Tee Dee .010 [1.74MB] (Bernie )
- Tee Dee .050 RC [4.03MB] (Bernie )
Here's also some hard-to-find instructions sheets:
- Black Widow .049 [5.03 MB] (Thanks to Ivanhoe)
- Venom .049 [2.8 MB] (Thanks to Bernie)
- Tee Dee .050 RC [1.35 MB] (Thanks to Bernie again)
- Texaco [0.16 MB] (Thanks to Matt)
You can also find here and here scans of the box, I edited them a bit to remove imperfections...
I just print them out on relatively thin paper, and glue on thicker one... It has the approximate thickness of the original cardboard... I use then a x-acto knife to cut the box out, fold it with a ruler, then glue everything together
If you have others, don't hesitate to upload them too, they can be useful to someone else! And don't hesitate to scan the instructions sheets too! If possible, the scans need to be in 600dpi, but the format doesn't matter (TIFF or PNG would be great)... The inserts don't need to be in perfect condition, as I can edit them...
Thanks a lot for your help
Manu

All I get from this link is...........

I already tried photoshopping an existing insert, but i doesn't look good, so I'm asking you guys, if you have the possibility and the time to scan your own inserts and upload them to a file hoster (for instance, megaupload.com)... I'll put the links right in this post, so other people willing to reprint their own can download them here

So I'm looking for the inserts of:
-Medallion .049
-Tee Dee .010
-Tee Dee .050 RC
-Texaco .049
-And, if it existed, insert of a SureStart .049
Here are those already avaliable:
- Pee Wee .020 [16.2 MB] (this one comes from me)
(don't know why it redirects to ad.fly, I have nothing to do with this )
Thanks a lot for your help

I dont believe the SS had a box.
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
@Ivanhoe That's odd... I just tried, and got no problems at all... Maybe try restarting your broadband modem
@Nitro Neither do I, but as I'm not 100% sure, I can't do anything but try

I know i think it would be pretty easy.
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
Uploaded Babe Bee .049 insert, along with the scans of the original box...
I'm now working on a SureStart insert...
EDIT: The only problem is, I can't find the product number of this engine...

Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
I would love to get a scan of the box but once past the ad, it says it is no longer available. All my boxes have price stickers on them, and I don't want to remove the stickers. Upload them here, you don't need to go through a bunch of ads then. Or if you want a direct link to them, I could host them in my sites server.
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
I don't know what happens, Megaupload never does that... Really odd, looks like the forum itself adds the ad.fly extension I'm gonna try on the other file server link you gave me
EDIT: There you go: http://www.filesavr.com/M9PKVVRXLWGEZN3

Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
Now that worked. It wasn't the ad.fly thing that was causing trouble, I could just delete the ad.fly portion of the url and skip it. It was just you have to wait to download the file and if you downloaded more then one in a few minutes, it wouldn't let you download anymore. I have a Google site I use only to upload files to share, if you want, I could add you to it so you can upload files and what not.
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
Yeah, that would be much better... We never know what may happen to filesavr, the Google servers are much more reliable
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
Everything got moved to the google page, thanks a lot
I'm finishing up the Sure Start insert, but again, it's far from perfect...

Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
I like to monkey around with making scans look better using paintbrush and photoshop. If you like you can send one to me and I can give a try cleaning and correcting one. Just PM me and I'll write you back with my emai to send it to. Sounds fun and kinda what I've been doing the last few months here and there with Cox advertisement pages.

Did you try to download the file again? I get "Box.zip: Unexpected end of archive"
when I try to unzip, must be a faulty zip file I'm afraid

Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
I just downloaded it, and no problems, It opens just fine... Maybe try by re-downloading it...
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
Added the home made Sure Start insert, and uploaded the zip in two separate parts
Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
I was worried they would be resized but I see both scans are full size files. I started to work with one by straightening it and correcting the color a little.
Not sure if I'll keep the changes yet or not this was just a quick shot at it. I'll add fold lines to the outside of the image and eliminate the crease marks too

Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
Did you mean grease marks? I don't see any... But the fold line were left on purpose, and I already corrected the colors, but if you can improve it further, keep on

Re: Cardboard inserts+Instruction sheets
I have just uploaded a scan of the Black Widow box insert here...
http://www.filesavr.com/GDGYAYQEFT1VL0R
If anyone should want it, if anyone has other inserts to upload I'd be interested to see them.
