Silly post but fun for me
I have posted a few time about my eclectic music tastes
any you guys came through big time with links and things that are in my zone
Today the sun actually came out just as I got a Face Book link to Chris Issak Wicked game...a song that has deep meaning to me
NOW I finally have a very good ISP and a sort of high end sound system in my shop
and not really wanting to do any of the spring cleaning ----so desperately needed
I have the system cranked to max Volume and
Enjoying my Amazon Alexa asking her to play ,,,,, Ina Gadda Da Vida, Get Ready, and any other Long version song I can AIR drum too.......
Fred out here in Texas jamming ass off...

Getting even with your neighbors again Fred?
Nothing cosmic about my musical tastes Fred, and strange to many considering what I have posted about before.
But these youtube videos have stuck in my brain the last few days. You may not get through the first one, but you may stick around for #2. Everybody remembers Boney M, right...............

But I can move to this pretty quickly.

Well Bob, I can relate to and respect #3, but the other two? You lost me there.
But how about this one? Found it while "surfing" youtube the other day. Just magic.

OK Bob... having too much fun with my song list to ALEXA...so simply could not hold on the links for more than a few seconds
BUT third link was a gem and and a fav
My Uncle is a big music guy and Janis was contracted to him as were a lot of others* I eventually met and had dinner with... way too young for the back stage Pot party
Chaicago
Thin Lizzzy
Janis
Little richard
Ike Tina
Partridge Family...
about 5 others my addled brain is lost about
He bailed from the Los Angeles Pop / Rock deal in the 70/80s to Nashville and now OWNS most of ALL the top Country guys and gals...a type of music I do not follow.....
I am sure I am NOT in the will (he has three ex wives) but he is a lot like Warren Buffet----I have a LOT-A CASH
Yadda Yadda.... Giant assed Montana Buffalo ranch ..multiple offices and homes in the Nashville area
Hoping he remembers my visits in the 60s and slides a few hundred thou to his Nephew.... but sincerely doubt it

Good one Rod! That'd be Richard Thompson on guitar, with Bonnie RaittOldenginerod wrote:Well Bob, I can relate to and respect #3, but the other two? You lost me there.

Re: Silly post but fun for me
Fred, this is timely because I was on the highway thinking about you and your music today. I was thinking about how I know you've listened to my playlists, and there's one band I know you'll like. I don't recall if they're on my lists, but Look up "Cracker" and tell me if they hit your sweet spot. "Can I take my gun to heaven" is an example. If you like "The Refreshments," you'll like Cracker.

I still have her original release 45 bought waaay back when. Bout wore it out. There was a recent documentary about her life and times on PBS. Tough life, arose to the heights and sank to the depths. I loved her, still do. Only R&R artist that I would give hat time to.
The other two, just something that popped up on youtube while I was scanning and stuck in my mind.

Re: Silly post but fun for me
I never had the time or inclination to "follow" any band and to this day only know the Names of a few various artists but none of the specific band history's...
Of course way back when most all my music listening was in a car ...some Djs did a ok job of band title song name
There are several hundred songs I loved but never could remember the lyrics or what band....
Some days something sparks a search and I am amazed at how some search turns up a You-Tube and then we are off for hours of not getting work done...grin
Rustys mention of Cracker sent me to Google where first hit was the Wiki page of the band
very interesting just form a how much time someone spent on the History
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cracker_(band)

Re: Silly post but fun for me
Our band just learned an interesting song written by John Anderson in the early 1990's called "Seminole Wind". The song tells a very interesting story about the Florida everglades. We're a Southern Rock band.. but we do throw some Country into the mix occasionally.
Re: Silly post but fun for me
