Re: London riots

Re: London riots
I am sure it will disperse by the end of the week. At least veryone who is not rioting hopes so.

Re: London riots
And Wolverhampton I think in London the worst is over but in some areas it's just beginning but I guess that's what happens when society and govourments neglect half a generation. The rioters are in the wrong but what gets me thinking Is these are the people we label as bad and then forget about instead of showing them that they are wrong. And helping them.
WHERE ARE THEIR PARENTS????
WHERE ARE THEIR PARENTS????
Re: London riots
i'm scared that people my age are burning down shopping centers, and robbing stores...this is just unbelievable.
it reminds me of the riots in paris a few years back, but THIS???
what motivates them? i mean, i know most of them are from families with
social problems, but how in hell can that motivate thousands of young people
in the UK, to BURN DOWN LARGE PUBLIC BUILDINGS????
well, i hope you two stay safe.

Re: London riots
Neglect and hate motivate these people as does as do riots all over the world these past few years as does GTA.
Re: London riots
We get riots around here every so often, for example the Republican national Convention. All they did is flip police cars, smash store windows and loot and maybe a trash can fire or 2. Thankfully we got nothing like what is going on over there though, that is out of control! It just takes a group of out of control teens and collage kids to grow into a massive riot! Stay safe both of you!
Re: London riots
But there where the Brixton riots in the 80's and the race riots in the 50's and 60's so it will probably happen again in 25 years time.

August: the silly season
Historically the month of August seems to bred rioting and the reasons are many. None of them are particularlly new. Every country in the world has it's discontented elements who crave media attention.
I believe that most rioters really don't know what they want and are not happy untill they get it. The trill of being distruptive and destructive seems to be quite appealing more so than any causes rioters may advocate.
Quite the paradox I'd say.

Re: London riots
Every new generation isms the worst yet according to those of the last generation so I am sure this will happen every generation as it has been every 20 or so years.

Re: London riots
Why is youth wasted on the young? Many of them are enraged because Mommy and Daddy tossed them out of the house and probably for good reson. "Work" is a four-letter word isn't it?
