I don't know, Fred. I've had an account since day 1. In fact I used to use it to post pictures on other forums before I started self-hosting with Dropbox.

The Servimg account was created for you when you originally joined the forum. It is the image host when you upload images to the forum. You can login to the Serimg site: https://servimg.com/ to view all the pictures you uploaded. It was there since I started the forum. Not sure why you are receiving that email now.

Re: Got a notice that a servimg account has been set up for me
My problem Fred may be a bit more serious, but not CEF connected.
This PC has been hacked so many times it bleeds information like a sieve. I'm running ancient Vista in a 10 year old computer and Microsoft Essentials no longer protects. That's ok, I have Norton 360 or so I thought.
A couple of months ago I got an email that said my Paypal account had been charged a certain amount, forgot how much. Checked Paypal, no charge had been made. Went back to the email and noticed a little "Not you" icon. I clicked on it and got a voice, totally American that cautioned "Do not turn off your computer or you will lose all your information" or words to that effect.
So naturally, I turned off my computer.
24 hours later I got a phone call from someone offering to fix my computer. Hung up.
I changed all my passwords, and have not had a problem since, but I discovered that my Norton 360 has been disabled. I have no protection in this computer at all. That's Ok, I keep no financial or sensitive information on it. If anything this computer is faster than ever.
I am on several car related forums. Some require that you click on the little "Mountain" icon and click and drag pictures as you describe. I haven't had any problems using it.
Now I mostly use Mark's hand-me-down I Pad tablet.
