WTB - Space Bug Jr. crankcase
Looking for a Space Bug Jr. crankcase. Preference is new but "excellent" condition would do as well.

Re: WTB - Space Bug Jr. crankcase
Just the crankcase.
We bought one that was supposed to be new but turns out it had been run and there were toolmarks on the drive-plate. When I changed the drive-plate I forgot to insert the "counter-piston" (a bolt we made for this task) before pressing with a vise
If we cannot find a crankcase we will simply sell the parts by themselves.

Re: WTB - Space Bug Jr. crankcase
Would need a lot of cleaning lol. The one we got has a "clear" tank and came in the OEM early-edition bubble case, replete with wrench and instructions. It's a really nice engine and probably was only run for a minute or two.

Yes Eric, I went by the premise that you were simply showcasing your collection
Please wait with the crankcase as a member has offered a NIP one for Space Bug and, when I am back in the office on Tuesday, will check if it is identical to the "JR" one; in which case I do prefer to take the new one.
Happy New Year everyone

Bernie, Can you explain what you did? Did it destroy the crankcase? Thanks, Andy

Re: WTB - Space Bug Jr. crankcase
Basically, because I forgot to insert something into the crankcase, against the face of crank, I pushed the neck of the crankcase right through the crankcase. Have assembled 1,000's of engines but was yacking on the phone and forgot that important step.

Yes, The SB Crankcase has the top mounting holes drilled so you can insert the mounting screws from the front. The SB jr does not, because the mounting screws go in from the back. Andy
