I been hand polishing with Simichrome Polish with good results but can't get into those creases shiny.

Try a cheap tumbler from Harbor Freight.
If you're trying to restore, you wanna keep away from the polished look.
To clean up a Babe Bee you're better off chucking the tank and glow head in drill and hit it with fine sandpaper, just enough to remove oxidation and recreate the machining grooves.

Eric, unfortunately the case isn't going to stay that way for too long. Even your fingerprints on the case will make it oxidize even faster. Whenever I needed to get into tight areas, I take a Q-tip and chuck it up in the Dremel. Simichrome works well but I found the less you use the better it works. I have found Simichrome to leave a bit of hue behind when used on chrome. I found Mother's aluminum polish to yield brighter results. Using the Q-tip won't allow you to press hard but it will do the job efficiently and cheaply. You don't turn it on full power. Eventually the paper shaft of the Q-tip flexes and begins to break but prior to that it becomes readily noticeable and you can switch it out for another.

I posed this question a while back and Ian gave me a detailed answer that I can't seem to find now. His method was very meticulous and used metal polish for fantastic results.
I couldn't reproduce his results, the nooks and crannies are very difficult. This was the best I could do.

I can't find it either. I do find searching back on this site a little difficult.
However, this posting also explains the basics. To get into nooks and crannies on small crankcases - especially those with raise lettering - I use toothpicks, baby buds, shaped pieces of plastic - it takes a long time!

And I have a lot more "blue" engines to strip and clean!

Re: How do you polish your space bug crankcase s
Thanks Guys for the replys , i had looked at a forum about cleaning small Alum. parts and they were talking about the vibrating tumbler and showed some good results using walnut material in it , but that is 65-75- to get started and that i don't have ! I also was thinking of the Q tip in a dremel at 5000 Rs's or drill at 1250 just haven't got there to try it and was wondering what you guys were using and ur right about one thing it takes a long time and patients . For sale this is a lot more than i wish to do for a few more $$ MAybe !
This one took a while and still not that great one nicer just brought me a wopping 37-
I did find out NOT to touch the plastic without cleaning your hands first

Hmmm... I hadn't thought about the tumbler with walnut media. Makes my brass nice and shiny, so it should work just as well for engines. I'll have to try that on one and see how it turns out compared to crock potting them.
