Awards are no big deal for me and I'd didn't originate the forum.
Beyond diamond I have no idea and couldn't care less.
As I have stated I'm here for the knowledge to be gained and to share some of my own.

Re: Diamond member!
I think a person could just post for the sake of posting if they wanted.

Hey, you're the one who said "Woo Hoo." I guess that must have been a sardonic "Woo Hoo."SuperDave wrote:Indra:

Re: Diamond member!
As n observation I find it interesting that this forum has been phenominally successful and within a short period of time, last fall to be exact. Otherwise this discussion wouldn't be occurring.
Which calls into question the reason for that success. I believe it is because CECF has attracted a considerable number of quality individuals sharing information and questions not for the notoriety but the betterment of our hobby.
The best recognition is the accumulation of "reputation" points and not the attainment of a total post count.

+1,,and I will take it one step further as far as an opinion on the whole idea.
I don't think there should be reputation or stars. Post count under your side stats??,,sure,,but just leave it at that.
Reputation and stars don't tell me nothing really. I learn how much they know by reading what they post and then doing my own research on the subject as I always do. It teaches you be more resourcefull and to depend less on others.
I know some folks like that eye candy blather, but for me,,it's not needed.

I believe it important to remember that this forum serves a wide range of hobbyists including rank beginners. What is valueable to them may not be valueable to you as a person of considerable experience and knowledge.
"Reputation" points are an indication of the usefulness and accuracy of information submitted regardless of the readers level of experience.
