Looks like the days of human piloted warplanes is ending. I can't think of much reason to have an onboard pilot when a guy can sit in a bunker... or in Omaha for that matter, and see everything he could see from the cockpit.

So far, The only thing I think they are lacking is a self-destruct system. When they crash in the enemy lines, who knows what happens...
Cool stuff none the less.

Yes, drones hace existing "self-destruct" systems on-board and have had since they were first used. The '91 Gulf War saw plenty of unmaned drones up against Saddam Huesein's "Republic Guard" in their re-inforced concrete bunkers in Kwait.
In-flight drone cameras were shown honing in on a target, the decent and then PROOF no target. You may me too young or chose not to remember but that's why the invasion of Iraq was called "Shock and Awe".
I don't believe "cool" is a good description of what occurred.

I read a wrong description, then. Thanks for the explanation.
I was referring to the drones and technology themselves, not their missions.

Dude:
At 14 I wouldn't expect to to remember and event that occrred in 1991. The event did however happen and is part of the history of the world it which you and I live. I know at your age it is hard to imagine that the past shapes the future.
With my years I can tell you that it does in ways that you can't possibly imagine until you gain more life experience. And that will only come with time.
