Rules: You may post *one (1) picture of an engine or a group of engines that are alike (for example: a collection of Space Bug Jr.s that feature each color tank). The engine must be a Cox engine, it can be stock or parts built. Cox engines using aftermarket or handmade parts and multi-cylinder engines are allowed as long as they feature Cox made crankcase(s) and cylinder(s). Although proof isn't required, engines that are built using aftermarket or handmade parts have to be able to run. A good example of a non-running homemade engine that wouldn't qualify for this contest is found HERE. Disassembled engines are allowed as long as all parts are visible and the engine is in running condition when assembled.
If you are unsure if your picture qualifies, feel free to contact the administrator with questions.
* You may post multiple "pictures" as long as they are all joined together in one picture. (This is done in image editing software before uploading)
MAIN POINTS
•One picture
•Picture shall be of one engine or engines that are alike (a Babe Bee and a Tee Dee .049 together would NOT qualify)
•Must be a Cox Engine
•Engines using aftermarket or handmade parts must feature Cox made crankcase(s) and cylinder(s)
•Engine must be able to run
Optional Caption
Along with your picture you may include a caption that describes or explains the picture. The caption should include the name and displacement of the engine. The caption has to be short as if you picture wins, it will be posted under the picture in the sidebar. If you do not include a caption, one will be thought up for you.
After 5 days, the first 10 pictures will be moved to another topic to be voted on by other members. The winner will have their engine displayed on the sidebar of the forum and forever listed on the past winners page.
Looking forward to see what you guys come up with! Good Luck!

TD .020 with RC Carb Cox 4.5Dx2P Prop
Cox 4.5Dx2P prop 17,472 best read open exhaust / 16.1k with muffler 8k idle.
Fuel tank was too elevated to be an ideal setup.
SPI cylinder needs to be shimmed. Stock muffler is restrictive
but nice and quite. 30.8g as shown with prop and muffler.
The die to cut the threads is: 11/64 - 40. This thread was known
to be used with Singer Sewing Machines making part replacement
more exclusive to being sold by that company.
Matt with EX Model Engines provided the custom die.

Just a reminder, we have to be able to see the engine and the picture can only feature engines that are alike (cannot have a TD .049 with a TD .051).

Does any of this pertain to me? If so, I can correct it today.

I guess that this refers to Fred's picture. The rules state "a group of engines that are alike (for example: a collection of Space Bug Jr.s that feature each color tank)." If different variations of the Space Bug Jr. are permitted I can't see why different versions of a Tee Dee can't be included. I don't see what would be wrong with someone displaying a collection of the full range of different size Tee Dees. They're all Tee Dees. Then, I wouldn't allow a Medallion to be included, because it's a Medallion, not a Tee Dee.
We have had photos previously submitted of large collections of Babe Bees. There can be a huge variation in the earliest to the latest Babe Bees, but I'm not sure that we scrutinized them in the same way in that instance.
While I may not necessarily vote for Freds picture, I would vote we allow him to leave it in.
The solution may be that the rules are changed to state that only a single engine can be pictured. It is the "Cox Engine (singular) of the Month" after all.

I changed the title of my submission
All three are Cox TeeDee .049s despite the red carb body on the tach race engine

Yep.....lol, not, I took it as I was trudging off to bed with my phone dying and somehow uploaded it upside-down, I figured I'd get'r fixed asap.
Re: *Cox Engine of The Month* Submit your pictures! -April 2017-
ok, i give up. what am i doing wrong? it doesn't seem to want to upload correctly, i've even tried to upload an upside down photo and it posts upside down?
Re: *Cox Engine of The Month* Submit your pictures! -April 2017-
Looks like we have 10! I'll get the poll set up shortly.
I'm very busy this week so I'll let it go, but for the future, we need to be able to see the most of the engine when when pictured on a model. It can be hard to identify the engine when it is hidden in a cowl.
Lots of good ones this month!

It must be a image orientation tag. I can fix it when I post the poll.
Whatever you do, don't go back & change the original inverted picture 'cos that will make my post look a bit stupid.

Well, a lot of us saw it as inverted flight. Action shots always get more credit. Hanger shots are, well, hanger shots. Do with it what you must.
