Matt
Matt thank you very much for the information, the thread of my Tee Dee 020, this swept and I was thinking of placing an insert, since no spare parts are available here. I will see on my next order, order for a spare for my Tee Dee.
Meanwhile I will see how to solve the problem I have!
Thanks again, regards!.

Hello, thank you for your information. I am finding out here in my country if there is anyone who manufactures it, although it may be very difficult, but I will inform you if I can get it here.1/2A Nut wrote:https://www.coxengineforum.com/t3758-custom-pee-wee-020

I have emailed a supplier waiting on an answer.

We can certainly have the die made easily from one of our tooling vendors, would just need to know how many are interested to get pricing information.

pipe in.

Re: Venturi thread Tee Dee .020 ???
Yes correct, I bought 3 of those engines mainly because of the carbs
being very small. Also seen a guy fab one on his TD .020 back in the day.
Results where good, free's up the cylinder for a muffler have two of the
small cox mufflers too. Been wanting to convert one for a while now
never knew the thread type till the other day. The G Mark .03 runs ok just
heavy and runs hot. It makes only 2/3rds the power of at TD .020
when fully broken in. The rpm suffers greatly with the heavy piston.
I have also seen a nylon block cut up into a RC carb, any soft aluminum
could be shaped up of course. Here is a simple carb made from cox needle
valve parts. Just a little bit of effort can yield a real treat for a small park
flying project. There are many YouTube vids on how to make your own little
RC carb.
Check this out throttled TD .020 beauty!
5k to 19k throttle spread.

Hello Mr. Matt, good to know that there have stock !, I am waiting for a factory here to confirm me if they can do it, if I do not, I will have to wait to ask you for several items in a next order and there I will include this tool. Thanks for taking care of the subject, regards!

Hey Nut !, how are you ?, I'm about to go to sleep, I was working in the workshop, doing something with the cox! ...
Now it is clear to me, you needed a tap and I a male, it turns out that the original thread in the carter is neighborhood and I have to make an insert. I have seen that Matt has the new carter, plastic and aluminum, but I have to agree with a contact of mine, to be able to make some order, and unfortunately this process takes a long time, meanwhile I will see if I can recover the original carter with the insert. I'll be posting pictures here, once I get to work.
I send you a big hug.
I take this opportunity to make a query: I have noticed that the Cox Pee Wee 020 vary greatly the rpm, due to the movement of the flapper valve, it is very affected by the engine turns, ie with a small propeller type 4 1 / 2, when the engine is set to full, the gear starts to become uneven, while if you put a larger propeller, there is less rpm and the engine becomes more stable, ie, has a more even gait along the flight . Do you agree with my experience?

Re: Venturi thread Tee Dee .020 ???
I like the Cox 4x2.5 with the lower rpm Pee Wee
The load matches the engine very well.
I have had a reed valve static up to 23,380 rpm so far, with a carbon 3x3 prop.
Using the stock copper reed was in new condition.

Thanks Kari, I'm glad you like the job.
What happens is that here in my country there are no Cox parts available and what is out there is often complicated with shipping. So until you can get some spare parts, you have to solve some problems, looking for the best solution within the possibilities that one has.
The insert has been firmly and securely inserted, I also made a backplate made of aluminum as well as in my moment I made it in my Cox 010.
I installed it on my model as a test and it works great.
Here the photos of the assembly and a final already with the engine in progress !!.

Hi, how are you, my friend? ... it has been very good work and the best of all is that I can enjoy the motor again !!!
I always watch your videos on YouTube, you are a mechanic ?, I see in some of your films, in the yard or terrain where you start the engines, some lawn mowers, some tractor and some machines!
