Travis,
You only need a new reed right?
Give it a thorough cleaning and it should go.

Re: Thought I would share some pics of my 049s
I just bought those props from Cox International. The original '58 prop broke on me a few weeks ago at least it didn't hurt anyone.

Yo Travis!
Good show on the engines !!!
Also, not to hijack your topic, but if it's OK with Jacob, maybe we could "double-time" the "Traveling Propeller" since we've only got 80 some-odd-miles between us !

I think y'all are talking about unobtanium... so named because you cannot obtain it, right. Just splitting hairs for entertainment.

I have a "0" reputation though, which doesn't qualify.

Re: Thought I would share some pics of my 049s
geez, thanks all these years I was spelling it wrong...
Attain vs. obtain
Attain means to achieve, to accomplish, or to reach the age of. Obtain means to get.
"unobtainium"

Is it just me, or does the crankcase on the Babe Bee not original? Shouldn't it be the early thin neck?

Funnily enough I thought that too, I have an early 60s Bee and that has the thinner crankcase

Re: Thought I would share some pics of my 049s
Either the crankcase is misplaced, or the cylinder is wrong and the date is off...
Re: Thought I would share some pics of my 049s
Have a pic of what it should be? I believe the other 2 are 80s ones.
Re: Thought I would share some pics of my 049s
The other 2 crank cases are long gone, not in my box. One was from the red/white PT-19 and the other was from the F-15. I believe both had the hex drive plate.
