Just thought I'd share, don't see these too often
The mailman came today. And he delivered my latest purchase. This popped up during one of my usual eBay browsing sessions. It was too good of a deal to pass up.
The Jr. still has the original small thread head and cylinder as well as the three piece piston. Also came with a spare glow head. The main attraction, however, is the hop-up kit.
As far as I know, it's complete and original. I compared the tank to the one on my space bug and as far as I could tell, the Venturi was larger inside the kit's tank. The glow head also is the high compression small thread head.
It's even got the original paper card.
The box isn't too great missing the display top, but I'm glad to have it anyway. Once I get me a nice display case for my engines, it'll find it's spot next to my space bug.

Congrats, that is a great find! I think I've only seen 1/2 dozen or so of these.
The hop-up kit was offered for only one year, 1953! The hop-up kits included a hi-comp head, a fuel tank with a larger inside air tube and the later style venture.

That's what I've got for sure. The regular tank seemed I have a restriction in it. The racing one looked like it was uniformly a similar diameter. And much larger. It's amazing that it remained complete all these years, especially without a box lid.Mark Boesen wrote:Congrats, that is a great find! I think I've only seen 1/2 dozen or so of these.

Installs in a Jiffy! It's always funny to see those archaic expressions in print.
Slow or clumsy fingers, What! They do cover their ass on the glow plug performance. I never knew about running-in a glow plug for maximum performance.
