motivation for building model airplanes
hello, i have one problem that im sure other people have to, my problem that is when i start building a new model airplane or print plans on like 20 sheets of paper, i always loose motivation to complete the model that i am working on when i have one of the major parts of the frame completed like the fuselage or the wing... after i loose motivation to complete my current model airplane kit i always buy a new kit, forget about the first one, and the whole process starts all over, i cannot keep doing this, model airplane kits and balsa wood is expensive. does anyone have tips on what i can do to keep my self motivated on building a model airplane, please help i have 7 airplanes and because of this problem the number of airplanes keeps on growing

Re: motivation for building model airplanes
Don't drink coffee or alcohol when choosing a plane (much like a woman)
Or ou will choose one you love for a while then get bored of.think every one through and commit to it buy components first then the kit/wood.
But who am I to talk I have 4 going on as we speak.

Sadly I have the same problem. Mostly because I lack the funds to purchase necessary parts, or just completely run out of time.
You need a strong will! Set your mind on one airplane at a time. I am sure some of us guys here would be happy to take some off of your hands.

You wanna count plans lol I have over 35.
I think the one I will focus on is my 1/2a 3D that I decided to build last night

Re: motivation for building model airplanes
Welcome, Mitch! My solution for you is quite simple.
ALL, I mean all, of my modeling stuff has to go into one 10' X 10' den along with my roll-top desk, four-drawer filing cabinet, trout fly-tying table, trout fishing equipment, outdoor apparell and our computer and accessories.
My wife as a simliar room and proviso for her "stuff".
Neither of us may accumlate more that we can store in our "rooms".
And there you have my solution to your problem of excess.
(BTW, we've been married for over 50 years.

I have plans for scale planes but do you mean plans for the 3D one?
It will be profile and made from reinforced and lightened corflute panels.
