This is as hard as it's ever been. Every one gives me a reason to choose it. My apologies to whomever I don't vote for.

The one I chose is not the coolest, the rarest or the prettiest, but it is, at the end of the day, what our association with Cox engines is really all about. I guess my choices every month are subject to my current mood. Is it something shiny, and like a monkey I jump on it, or is it more of an intellectual thing, more about the context. I always avoid the submission thread so as to not let personal favoritism play a part.

Rusty,
I prefer to think that shiny things evoke an intellectual response. It makes me feel a lot better about myself. Either way, I am definintely in touch with my inner crow because I love to look at and gather shiny things. My garage is a shrine to my love of shiny stuff.

Haha, yeah Bob, mine too. Some of it on display is stuff you gave me back when I was needing to get my hobby kick started. I've followed your lead many times, sending stuff to members who needed a boost.fit90 wrote:Rusty,

I ended up selecting based on technical photography. No picture was calling to me.
as for:
is the item in focus.
is the item pleasingly lit.
are the colors reasonably true.
This wasn't very easy either. Several of the images are pretty good.

"Inner crow" I like that. And it explains a lot of my behavior too. I like to make old stuff shiny. Not "as new", but shiny. My favourite materials are aluminum and brass, in that order, not so fond of platings.

Re: **VOTE-ON-THE-NEXT-COX-ENGINE-OF-THE-MONTH** (March 2016)
Yeah I kind of meant "monkey" in the same vein as crow. Ever hear how to make a monkey trap if you're stranded in the tropics. Cut a hole in a coconut, somehow tie it to a rope(or vine, I guess) and put your Zippo lighter inside. Monkey will come along and spy the glint, reach in and grab the lighter, but won't let go. Can't pull his clinched fist out, and you can swing him around on the rope all day, and he won't let go of the shiny Zippo. Or you can eat him.

Oh, I didn't get that reference We have a similar analogy, a story about a narrow neck jar half full of dates, and a monkey (or a greedy person) that can't get his fist full of dates out. He would be able to pick them from the jar one by one if he were smart enough or less greedy but no, he's stuck.
