Any interest in another flight contest?

Most air time wins.
Please vote so I can see if there is enough interest.

Re: CEF 2016 flight contest
I am sorry, but I do not see rules. Is it the same plane/engine? If so, I will have to build something VERY durable.... In the air, or bench running included? Thank you.

Re: CEF 2016 flight contest
Sorry, I just re-read your post again and see that it is for an engine mounted on a plane, and not bench run. Also control line only, which my only question remaining is can it be different airframes? Thank you again.

Rules are not yet established. Most certainly the airframe can change, but not the engine. New parts to keep said engine running is allowed. Air time only, no bench running.

Re: CEF 2016 flight contest
I plan on flying this event! I'm going to build a better stooge for the airplanes that don't have gear. I ordered a 'Sure Start' 049 engine so that a larger tank can be used to minimize 'down' time!

I'll jump in. I won't place, but I'll show. I can use my next ultra secret plane build for this as well as some others I want to get some flight time in.

That's really all it's about, the joy of flying. Also it let's folks know that these little engines are out there and still humming.

If I get or build a PT-19 then a dual purpose mode of flying could get done!

Re: CEF 2016 flight contest
Ron I am promising myself this is to be my year to fly much more and my vote (encouraged by the poll so far) is yes lets do it
I am bummed with the loss of the lack of a volunteer for the Tach race...I always seem to fail to enter and wanted very much to have one of my experiments run by who ever runs the competition
I fully understand that the Tach race was an event being a ROYAL PITA for the guy doing the engine runs...thanks Kim...I probably added 100 views to the count
Bottom line for me is these events...gentlemanly run, are a part of CEF that we need to preserve and as much fun to just read about as to participate in
This year I am, for second time flying a RM for the Fly a thon, again with a Cox powered plane ( thanks to Rodger Harris for his wonderful RM bi-plane) and a real sized S1 variant with a Fox on the nose...(help me out here Ron...destined for a Lew Woolard super motor) Ron, jest fussing ....
This year I an joining in on the PT 19 fly a thon---- but a balsa replica as I will NOT pay what is required for a running Cox RTF plastic version
I have a screamer engine ready to ship for the Tach race
I have a reasonable plane for the Profile Scale Reed speed contest (secret design) grin
I can't wait for my turn with the TeeDee .010 Traveling engine micro motor as I have never personally held one in my hand
I think the traveling propeller needs a second tour around the world
I won engine of the month a long time ago and plan this year to post more entries

Re: CEF 2016 flight contest
Fred,
Looks like there is enough interest to give this a go this year, I will have proper rules posted soon.
I am hoping for max participation from those who said they are keen on flying.
I sure hope Lew comes through with your .35 and if he doesn't I will give you mine, it hasn't been run.
It was a busy year for me and I wasn't able to enter the tach race. I will volunteer as CD for 2016 if there are no takers so we can keep it going.
To be honest all one has to do is contact Mark and have him agree to a person being a CD.
Ron

Re: CEF 2016 flight contest
I'm in.
Put me in that class "Won't Place, but Will Show" bracket.
I think I should have a TeeDee .09 in a Ringmaster Jr. ready by start date. The Jr. is a vintage plane I picked up on eBay, covered in SilkSpan. I have a kit on the shelf in case of any flight miscalculations on the original.
Cheers - Peter
